What would you use on my wife's SUV

Thanks. It looks like UQW may be the best (inexpensive and look good) short term solution and easy to strip when I go to the final step. Thanks guys.

What would you use on my wife's SUV

The correction needed is very minor. Unlike my car that sat on a dealer's lot for 3/4 of a year, my wife's car has lived in the garage. I really want to do most of the prep work this weekend and have other plans next weekend. I don't have any Optimum products available this weekend...

What would you use on my wife's SUV

I'm sure anything can work for the less than a month that I will have before putting on the OC 2.0. I have three (3) things readily available, Collinite 845, Griot's Garage One Step Sealant, and FK 2685 Pink. It would seem to me that the easiest of these to apply will be the Griot's. The good...

What would you use on my wife's SUV

Thanks for all of the suggestions. After looking at this in light of my time I am going to wash, clay, correct, and seal with Griot's this weekend. Then within a month I will strip the Griot's and apply Opti-coat 2.0. I would do it in one step, but I can't get the Opti-coat before the weekend...

What would you use on my wife's SUV

Thanks for the offer. I appreciate it, but I don't mind buying something that I decide to use. I am closer to Waco than to Austin. Thanks. That is an option. I have that available. Would you guys not go to the trouble of a Cquartz or something like that.

What would you use on my wife's SUV

How long should it last? The car is garaged and she doesn't drive 10K a year. Thanks.

What would you use on my wife's SUV

My wife has a 2013 Nissan Murano. She doesn't like to keep it up and I would rather work on my car so as not to be upset when she doesn't keep it up. I was thinking about one of the nano coatings to minimize the upkeep needed. What would you suggest and why?

    VacuMaid GV50 PRO Garage Vacuum

It does blow. I have tried to use mine to do the final drying after flood drying the car and find it is faster to use the waffle weave blot method. It will blow out the areas that are hard to reach with a towel. How it compares to the Metro, I don't know because I have no experience with a Metro.

    VacuMaid GV50 PRO Garage Vacuum

I love mine. It is extremely convenient for keeping the cars clean and for bowing leaves out of the garage. Enjoy.

Very Brief Look at my weekend project - 2009 Pontiac G8 GT Paint Correction

Beautiful work. Looks better than when it came out of the showroom.

Thanks for the tips and the recommendation.

    2013 Mercedes SL550 - Big Red

Good question. The answer is because I didn't inspect it prior to setting about to do it on Friday. I did not have FG4000 and live in an area that doesn't have much access if any to Menz. I probably should have gone to Autozone and gotten some Megs 105, but sometimes (generally) I am stubborn...

    2013 Mercedes SL550 - Big Red

I was surprised at the paint. It looked okay until I started inspecting it with a light. I bought the car about 2 months ago, but it sat on the dealers lot all through the Texas summer. The defects weren't deep, but they were numerous. The other thing I did was to mask off the windows...

    2013 Mercedes SL550 - Big Red

Thanks. After looking at all the reviews I have decided to go with the first suggestion and get a GG6. It looks like it will work with all of my PC pads and accesories and be quite a step up without a big price tag. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

    2013 Mercedes SL550 - Big Red

Thanks for all of the kind messages. I have never regretted money spent on good tools so I will either buy the Rupes or the Flex. I do this as a hobby because I like my cars to look good and I enjoy the satisfaction of the results. A good tool always makes that type of work more enjoyable for me.

    2013 Mercedes SL550 - Big Red

Thanks. I actually thought about throwing away the Fenix because it did too good of a job of showing the defects. Car would look good until further examination. ;)

    2013 Mercedes SL550 - Big Red

Thanks. I was thinking about going to a Flex. Is the Griot's better than the Flex?

    2013 Mercedes SL550 - Big Red

What I learned from detailing my car this weekend. Good detailers are underpaid. It took me about 15 hours to do the car. Using a Fenix HP11 Light shows a lot of defects. Ignorance before I started was bliss. The Porter Cable can really not spin 6.5" pads. I had to go down to a 4" for...

    Suggestion for Mars Red SL550

Thanks. I may use a little Klasse AIO prior to the Collinite which I would think would remove anything that is left if there is any.
