Actually I don't feel coating (cquartz UK 2013, opti-coat 2.0, opti-gloss coat) did much for me to combat pollen. Could be my area with the amount of pollen flying but my car is always covered in pollen by next morning. Maybe if the car was just cleaned the day below, I can blow off the pollen.

I think I have been doing it wrong all these years. I rub my wash mitt on the grit guard to release the dirt to the bottom of the bucket. Should I not have been doing that? Does the washboard offer more advantage?
