    Epoxy for garage floors

Yeah.. Did slot of research on it because if some of the horror stories I heard. I also used the U coat it system. I would put it in the middle price range and think it's a solid system to use. I went one step further and rented a floor grinder and gave my floor the once over with it. Rather...

    Epoxy for garage floors

Everything I have read on doing it emphasizes one thing ..... PREP PREP PREP if it's new concrete it has to have the proper amount of time for the concrete to cure and get all the moisture out of it or it won't bond. Also want to do your own moisture test before starting

    Polishing Stainless Steel?

Ok... Replaceable... Atleast u thought ahead...if you want gleaming stainless, I wouldn't try it by hand. It can b done, but just need patience , patience, patience. I always sand and then use a rotary with stainless rouge and 10" airway pads.

    Polishing Stainless Steel?

I would check to see if the lips of ur rims are aluminum and not stainless....because if the rim is one complete piece, then the entire rim would have to be steel or stainless steel... And that would be one heavy rim if it was completely stainless. And the rim can't br aluminum with a stainless...

For anyone that's good at troubleshooting stereo systems...

Alternator whine is usually a bad ground... Probably a factory corroded one... Also check the ground from your battery to the vehicle. And a word of advice... NEVER go back to any audio shop you went too. First thing they should have said was a probable ground issue

Finally got my butt chewed by the Mrs...

Yeah... Sorry have to agree on it being a girlfriend causing this grief. No disrespect, I'm sure you love her or else you wouldn't be with her. But that conversation would have had a quick ending with me.

    Eeeeeeeeeeeek

Saw that also.... Amazing since they explain in great detail earlier in the show how meticulous they are about having perfect bodywork and perfect paintwork. Maybe I am just weird, but I love looking at the work stations and carts in that facility, with holders specifically made for each Bosch...

    Calling all home improvement DIY'ers!!!

You should NEVER have pipes run thru unconditioned spaces... I live in Chicago and can guarantee this is against code in Ohio . Only place I have ever seen water heaters outside is in the desert southwest, California, etc. That thong had to b running 24/7 keeping water warm in the winter. And...

What's the best sealant to use on polished aluminum?

Most metal sealants I have seen take away that "POP" that freshly polished aluminum has. I do aluminum polishing on the side, as well as detailing.... Most big rigs.... I have tried afew sealants because I drive a fully polished Peterbilt everday and have tried to keep the aluminum decent in the...

    2012 Fast Five Charger

They make a flat or matte clearcoat..... Just your basic basecoat/ clearcoat system , only difference is that when the clear is applied it gives a matte appearance instead of your normal shiny clearcoats. Gotta know what your doing when spraying a flat clear though...

    detailing in the cold

If you do alot of outside winter work... Head over to your local Gander Mountain or Cabelas store and look at the hunting gloves. I bought a set of neoprene ( wetsuit material) gloves that come up a good 4 or so inches past the wrist. They are totally waterproof and warm as can be! Think I only...

    Fixing wrecked aluminum on VROD

Depending in how bad the acid burns are, it might come out with a liquid polish, but buffed with a rotary and not by hand. Usually acid burns will leave a " ghosting" of itself if just dome by hand, but, it just depends on how bad it is. Best liquid that I use is Busch aluminum super shine. Sold...

How often do you guys wash your car in winter?

Depends on how the roads look and how quick it will get dirty again. Luckily, I can wash mine at work, in a toasty warm garage with heated floors.

    Win a Meguiar's Pad Washer!

Don't have as many pads for polishing paint as many here, but maybe something better to test this washer with. I have been thinking of buying one of these to clean the pads ( foam, wool, and foamed wool) I use for aluminum polishing. If this washer can clean pads used in full on aluminum...

Bought Me a 7.3 Power Stroke!!

If the paint you are talking about is painted on lettering.... Most sign painting pros use One Shot lettering enamel... Same stuff used forever by sign painters and pinstripers. Easy Off oven cleaner will take it off... Just gotta be careful with how long you leave it on... Would b a trial...
