I agree with the threads that recommend applying an apc, degreaser or dedicated pad cleaner. Knead the pad then submerse the pad in hot water. This works for me. On products you know present a problem, hit the pads w/ cleaner immediately after use. Good luck. Peace, Darrin

I agree with dlc on the pads and maybe some mf towels. You can never have too many of either. Maybe something to keep the pads clean. If you take proper care of them, they will last.
