    wrist watch skin indentation

People still wear a watch? :) I haven't worn my watches in a few years, ever since I got a smart phone. I hated my Rolex Oyster for the same reason... it was too damn heavy and left dents in my wrist. Now I can glance at my smart phone and get the time, weather, news, sports and email with...

    LCD Screen cleaning & Protecting?

I also use Meg's QID on all the interiors including NAV screens. Works very well at removing smudges and leaving no glare. I buy it by the gallon too.

    Questions about a brand

I've been a long, long time user of Meguiar's Detailer line and Mirror Glaze products and have been very pleased with them and Meg's customer support. I always buy in bulk and watch for sales and free shipping offers to stock up. Meg's offer a very complete lineup and their products are...

If you had to stick with one product line.. Which line would it be?

Only one line? In that case, only one company has the breadth of products and availability, Meg's.

Wash a car with a Brillo Pad?

LOL, my uncle did that to his brand new light blue Ford after driving it on a freshly oiled gravel road. He did most all of the front fenders and hood before he realized the paint was now a nice matt finish. Fortunately it buffed back to a decent gloss. Luckily it was a light color or I...

    Camera experts

What camera is right for you is something only you can answer. You are the one who knows what kind of photos you will be taking. What zoom range you need, what image quality you need and what you can afford. I went through a couple DSLR cameras and bags of lenses and on a whim bought a long...

    Meguiars polishing compound abrasiveness?

FWIW, Mike persuaded me to buy a G100 (PC 7336) back in 1995. To this day, that choice remains in my memory as one of the best detailing decisions I ever made. As Mike said, "It's not that hard." In fact, it made polishing ten times easier and faster than doing it by hand. Thanks again, Mike. ;)

Washing car in cold weather climates

I have taken to using this approach for the past couple of years now. I live in Wisconsin and we see lots of cold weather, many days below zero, and this has got to be the salt use center of the world in winter. I can't hand wash my DD in the winter as I don't have a heated garage and I have...

    Leather Master Cream

I find that LM Protection Cream leaves my leather looking more like it did when I bought the car. Take a visit to the showroom and look at the new leather there. It is not shiny, rather it is matt, silky smooth and dry. This is how my leather looks after LM Protection Cream is applied. IMO...

    PC Continues to Give Trouble

You didn't discard the backing plate spacer/washer by any chance? Sounds like a symptom of a missing washer.

Best reccomendation for electric power washer?

My cheap electric PW experience... I've gone through countless cheap (<$300) electric pressure washers and have observed they were all made in China and quality control was nonexistent. If you read many reviews of almost any model you will see loads of issues coupled with a few satisfied...

Grilling in Garage = Greasy Car?

Easy solution. I've seen this model on clearance at Sam's club for under $200. Grilling in a garage is potentially dangerous. Also messy and smelly if you are grilling things like steaks that render fat and smoke a lot. In that smoke is grease, as you found out. That same grease and smoke...

    Meguiar's #21 sealant hides swirls?

Rambling thoughts on fillers... By the very nature of polishing, any oils used as lubricants in the polish will fill or hide light swirls. This is true of any abrasive polish from any manufacturer. The same is true for a wax or sealant. They will hide light swirls Why is this considered bad...

Should I buy a da polisher

I did do that, over 17 years ago. I bought my first DA, a G100 (aka Porter-Cable 7336) in March of 1995. The best decision I ever made, LOL. As I recall, Mike, you helped me make that decision. (Holy cr_p, where has all the time gone?) Interestingly enough, I still use that old PC. The G100...

What else do you use your detailing supplies for?

I was wondering how I could be going through my D-line Glass Cleaner concentrate so quickly only to find my wife was using it and also giving it to her family and friends. She uses it on all the glass, mirrors and stainless appliances. I set her up with her own bottles for the home and advised...
