    Washing really dirty Microfiber question.

My w & ww MF towels are tossed. One use only 'cause they contain brake dust. Buy the cheap ones at Target and WalMart, test them on a CD, use them 1X and get rid of them. That's what I do.

    Waterless wash tips?

I NEVER-EVER (last 3 years) do a rinseless/waterless unless I can perform a powerwash first. After a PW I can now do either a RW or a WW in my indoor garage.

Deciding between 2 Bucket, Rinseless, and Waterless Wash - Exterior Detail Part 10-12

If I lived in a water restricted state I would: 1. do a self-directed PW at a local car wash 2. drive home into my garage and do a RW 3. finish up with a WW if needed and spray wax/sealant to complete the wash Good luck and preserverance to those who live west of the Mississippi River.

Deciding between 2 Bucket, Rinseless, and Waterless Wash - Exterior Detail Part 10-12

Well, let me ask this Q. If you had a garage. And it had a drain and an inside hose. Could you wash your car inside where no one could see? Doable or not?

    Squeegee drying ?!?!

You are dragging water off with a squeegee just the same way if you were using a chamois or a mf to wipe/drag water off the painted surface. Catch a piece of debris and its gotcha. Safer and better ways to dry a wet vehicle...ex. blow it off or dab/pat/blot using a ww or a mf.

New Lexus isf with extra soft paint, help needed

If you polish a newer late model car that has SS paint you should/will see paint transfer onto your pads. Did you not see black paint on your pads? I also read recently that coatings work only or best on CC not SS paints.

===>>> Snake82: I'd like to know which towel you "really, really like". Used many different MF's over the years but can't say its the best of the best nor can I say its a jack of all trades. Thanks.

Are 3M Products good? Any Recommandations?

I guess it would depend on which product(s) you are interested in. Polishes, MF, Waxes, Dressings, Sealants, Window Cleaning, APC, Pads..........? AG does have a large selection amongst different mfg's to choose from.

    Cleaning a microfiber sponge

If you are referring to a Cobra MF Bone Sponge type, yes, they do not release the soap well. So what I do is rinse by hand under running water 4-5X until water runs fairly clear. Then lightly spray Pinnacle MF detergent onto most of the Bone Sponge and throw it into the washer (Top Loading HE)...

    Pre-Wash

I do what blown03 does. Although I used to own a foam gun many years ago, I ditched it (it was basically useless). I now PW for $2/wash prior to a HW or RW or WW. I also use coatings now, not waxes or sealants. Power washing usually is all I need for cleanups if a coating is on. If I need a HW...
