Microfiber fell on cement. Can I still use them?

I've done it a few times in my detailing life. I just toss them. Not worth it to me over $4-5-6-7...

    Grout Sponge Technique

Your best bet is to power wash it first. Then proceed with a RW or WW using a grout type sponge or mf or bone or mitt. The theory behind the sponge is capturing the dirt safely into the pores and then shedding it with ease into a 2nd bucket of water or using a hose to dislodge the contaminents.

Black Lexus 2011 AWD IS 250 Dealer Post Prep. Suggestions

    1. How many (or few) cc scratches/swirls do you see on the paint? 2. I would do the tires and wheels, skip the wells. 3. Clay (if needed) but do either PL or Collie not both.

What is the deal with cleaning tires?

Took me 4 tries with Tuf Shine cleaner last spring to clean my car tires. It was brown, brown, brown, brown then went white. I would try a diff tire cleaner.

    Torn MF Edge

I usually just cut the torn edge with scissors. Next time buy yourself a sharp carpet knife at Lowes/HD and use that to gently cut the stitching off the tag before slowly ripping it off.

Episode #12 of Autogeek's What's in the Garage on this Sunday!

I've asked this question once before and was told that it no longer airs. Fast forward 2+ years. Looked for it on my cable TV guide today (SUN). Could not locate it on Fox Sports 1, FS2, Fox CT, Velocity. Is it available on cable (I have Cox Cable) or not?

How many of your neighbors are into car detailing

WOW! The number just went from 0 to 1. I saw my neighbor do a 2nd wash this year. Un-believable. Weather was perfect. 65 degrees and sunny, a little wind, not hot, not cool in southern NE.

    Apartment and waterless

What state do you live in? ONR or Ultima RW or Meg #114 are good in MHO. Like Das says, best is a PW at your local car wash, then bring it home for the RW wash. Since you live in an apartment, winter washes could be a problem depending where you live. Adapt and you will be fine.

How many of your neighbors are into car detailing

Zero to your question. And I live in a condo complex of about 150 families. A few do wash their cars on a sunny weekend. Summer/fall only. 1 or 2 QD after washing but that's it. No one polishes. No one waxes. No one has a clue as to what's a R.O. I know no one seals. And no one knows what a...

    Good/best detail cleaner?

I have a recent coating on my car. For light dust, I prefer a power wash (or a water hose). This touchless watering takes off all dust. If some dirt or grime remains, I also like to use Ultima WW on those spots.

    Removing HydrO2 streaks from Windshield

Never used Hydro2. But, I would try a claybar, then a Nanoskin clay towel or pad, then some glass polish in that order, BUT, only on 1 spot. If all fails then call CarPro. I'm sure a semi-aggressive paint polish would work but let them tell you that and which one to use.

Using Nanoskin Autoscrub Sponge with QD

I go along with JHL88 and asalesagent912. From personal experience, using Glide and Nanoskin fine/medium pads on a PC, I have yet to see any marring of paint on the 4 cars that I've done recently.

Viking Microfiber 24 Pack Any Good?

I would use them ($10/24 = .42/per) on interior plastic/leather, wheel wells, tires, engine bay, wheel barrels, undercarriage, maybe windows. I use them once, never wash 'em and then trash them. Do a CD test initially to gauge a first impression. I just bought a 5pk from Target on sale last...
