    I hate single-stage red

Don M: what year, mfg, model, was the car? I owned a late model Honda SS Red and said never again. W/O CC I found paint was too thin to maintain properly. So I traded it in on a new Honda that had a clear-coat finish. Faded spots (pinkish looking) means too much paint was removed by someone.

    Review: Optimum Gloss Coat

This glossy vs glassy look and the muted shine in the pics caught my eye also. Maybe it was just cloud cover like mentioned above. Question. is O-GC by any chance darkening the paint?

    Shipping costs

AG CS is top rated. Their website is never down, real people answer when you call, huge inventory, guarantee their products no questions asked. Only negative is wish they were out of NY (closer to me) and not FL.

    Zaino borderless blond

Got my answer this morning from a detailer in CT. He told me he has tried just about every favorite mf on the market, from local retail stores, distributors, online stores, from USA-Asia-Europe...Will buy a few of his recommended ones and a few of my own selections that I've read about from...

    Zaino borderless blond

I read most (not all) of the posts. Like others, I've also dealt with linty mf towels for years, and, like Bob Dylan said in one of his songs, enuf is enuf. So, irregardless of price, I would like to try lintless microfiber towels, preferably 16X16 or 16X24. Light colors preferred. So which...

Heads Up So Cal Geeks: New Water Use Fines

WOW! I would try the Ultima waterless wash. It could come in handy some day. Its one heck of a good product. I never would have thought a retail business would have H2O limitations. I used to live in Torrance early 70's (remember C. Manson?). Left to go back to CT. Glad I did. But, I did miss...

Heads Up So Cal Geeks: New Water Use Fines

Why can't you just drive down to your local self-service car wash and do a power wash early am or late pm under cover? Take a bucket of water+shampoo and 1 bucket of water from your house and do a regular wash+pw? It only costs $2 here on the east coast. Or is it just easier to do a RW? Glad I...

    Shipping costs

Good News from FedEx: FedEx announced today that profits are up 24%. Better News from FedEx: It is raising rates on some/most of its services so that profits will double by next year.

    Shipping costs

Find one of the bigger online detail shops in a nearby state. For me they are located in PA, NJ, NY, NE, MD, NC, VA. All are 1-2 day ships (FL is 3 days). Some have free ships, some have low one price shipping ($5 max), some cap out at $9.99. Unfortunately, most or all don't stock the large...

Acura NSX Corrected and Coated with Cquartz Finest…Greg Gellas Signature Detailing

I'd like to know: Q1: what machine/pad/polish did you use on the red tail lights? I come across some fairly marred ones every once in a while but am always fearful to use anything strong to correct due to the possible UV protection on them. A beautiful transformation on a classic NSX!

    CTEK Battery Chargers/Analyzer

You can always buy the new Pinnacle Onyx Tire Dressing as a sample 2oz bottle for $7 to try it out. I buy samples from AG or get them for free quite freq just to try them out. But, you still have to pay for S&H somewhere along the line. $7 + $6.95 shipping. I'd go for it!

    Waterless and rinseless methods

Do you hose or rinse or PW before starting? Using 15-20 towels is my #1 reason for not using the Dean method. How do you handle Pittsburgh's winter, sand, salt, chemicals? Basically, I PW always, drive home, RW using ONR or Megs #114 and the 2 or 3 BM. Or WW on a not too dirty car always...

Are there any polishing products that...

LSP will most likely be a coating. No longer use waxes (unless client requests it), only sealant I now use is Z-2/Z-3, last 2 coatings used were DG WOWA and Gtechniq EXO.

Are there any polishing products that...

leave nothing behind like::::: fillers, lubricants, oils, gloss enhancers, waxes, polymers, acrylics, silicones.....so that I don't need to IPA, Erase, Panel Wipe, Dawn Wash, Use A Prep Polish Like SQC or Detailers? Or am I asking too much?
