    Nanoskin

I LOVE the towel. It's bigger than clay, requires no kneading, and can be rinsed off if it falls on the ground. I love the idea of clay alternatives, as they provide a faster way of decontaminating a vehicle. I have the auto scrub pads for the da, and while they are effective and time saving...

    Which gtechniq product is that?

GTechniq products and # of applications

I can tell you that a 30ml bottle of Exo v2 is good for an average size car 2 coats. If you have anything bigger, like a truck, you'll use more. C4 15ml bottle will get a couple cars done depending on how much trim is on the car and how far you go with it. C1 30ml is about the same as Exo...

Paint Prep Product Prior To Opti Coat Pro

I've seen Chris say somewhere that carpro leaves something behind and that an ipa is better? (However, I'm currently living with a botched oc 2.0 job so I'm curious on input)

    Presoak options

I just bought af avalanche and so far it seems to work really well. It is a bit pricey as it only comes in a 5L jug, but a little goes a long way. I also bought it because I like the fact that its safe and can be used for your maintenance washes. It doesn't strip your lsp. It was developed...

What pressure washer is best for around $150?

I just bought one from sams club a week ago. It's a black max, 1700psi, 1.2 gpm and I just used it yesterday with my new mtm foam lance. Couldn't be happier. Washer went for $137 out the door.

    Another opticoat 2.0 question/issue

Completely dry, no. However, using the water sheeting method you should be able to dry 95% of the panel simply by sheeting the water. In my case, I'm actually covering the whole panel in beads instead of drying the panel.

    Another opticoat 2.0 question/issue

So I guess my next question would be how do I fix this? What if I tried just reapplying oc? I really don't want to go back over the whole car with a polisher to be honest, but I want this fixed.

    Another opticoat 2.0 question/issue

I'd say a good 10-12. Not 100% sure but I know I was generous with it.

    Another opticoat 2.0 question/issue

I don't believe so. I say that because my prep was no different than how I always prep my cars, and I have coatings on 2 other cars currently with no issues. I clayed using a combo of nanoskin pads and clay, polished, cleaned the surface using multiple passes and towels with a 17.5%(roughly)...

    Another opticoat 2.0 question/issue

The water sheets off the surface incredibly fast, it's just it won't sheet "cleanly", it leaves beading behind each time, which is weird because that's telling me that there is protection on the surface. Idk oc just kind of seems finicky to me. Although a great product if it works properly...

    Another opticoat 2.0 question/issue

Yes, after flooding, as the water sheets off it leaves beads everywhere the water has been. The only thing I can think of that I have have done was rubbed too much during the application process. I would do about an 8"x8" section then immediately LIGHTLY buff with a microfiber. The only reason...

    Another opticoat 2.0 question/issue

Well I completed polishing and opti coating a car last weekend, and today was the first day I was able to pull the hose out and check the beading/sheeting. Mind you the car has a weeks worth of dirt on it, as it has seen rain and everything else outside where it's parked constantly. I first...

First ever detail: FG400 dusted like crazy, what did I do wrong?

I would say you're possibly using too much product. I had minimal dusting. Try using a pinch less product and be sure to keep cleaning your pad after each section. If you have a pad cleaning brush, they do a good job off breaking up caked on product on your pad after each section.

    Black max electric pressure washer

    Black max electric pressure washer

I'm looking into buying an electric pressure washer and was looking for some info on this unit. Anyone have it? Have feedback? It's priced right at sams club and I'm considering it. Let me know what ya think

The Worst Car on AG - Trashed and Neglected, Washed 2 Years Ago - V7 Hybrid, Collinite Marque D'Elegance, Collinite 845 (Many Pics)

Wow. Incredible job. I NEVER understood how someone can buy a car and never keep it up to an extent. I mean come on, all you have to do it drive it through a wash once in awhile. That's at least better than nothing.
