Xmt pad cleaner is good stuff. I use it all the time to clean my pads or applicators. I'll use dawn with sealants or waxes that are tough to get out of pads, but then I'll spray them down with xmt to get any residues out. It works great cleaning polishes out of pads. I recommend it for sure.

Same here. Plus I love buying and getting new goodies, so I buy as long as I have the means to do so. I love trying new car products. Obviously with it being winter I have much more unopened/untried products than I will spring time, but I definitely at least try them all:)

I'd definitely do a test spot like you said. To me, being that its a new car and lighter in color, I'd forget about the orange pad and start out with trying a black finishing pad. You're just giving it a light polish to remove any possible marring or defects, it shouldn't be bad enough to where...

A griots 3" polisher with some 4500 would probably do the trick and save you some time. If you don't have a gg3", by hand should improve them. It's an easy enough wheel to polish. I'd definitely make sure to seal them afterwards.
