    Optimum metal polish

I got a bottle of optimum metal polish today, and was wondering a couple things that I was hoping those out there that have used it could tell me. First, the product is thin as water, which is a first for me, because every metal polish over ever used has been thick or a paste. Is its consistency...

    pad cleaner?

Xmt pad cleaner is good stuff. I use it all the time to clean my pads or applicators. I'll use dawn with sealants or waxes that are tough to get out of pads, but then I'll spray them down with xmt to get any residues out. It works great cleaning polishes out of pads. I recommend it for sure.

Gtechniq EXO vs. Opticoat (first post!)

Well I picked up Exo right when ag started carrying it, and at the time they didn't carry the gtechniq panel wipe, so I used wurths clean solve. Must have worked fine because Exo is holding up great. If I were you I'd just go with gtechniqs panel wipe as that's what is recommend by gtechniq. As...

Gtechniq EXO vs. Opticoat (first post!)

Welcome to ago...yes, c1 is more like opticoat. I can't speak for opticoat as I have never used it, but I have Exo on my dd and its 6 months old on a car that sits outside year round and still beading like day 1. It's pricey, but worth it in my opinion. With both these coatings, you have to keep...

    Wheelwell Detailing

I clean with dp cleanse all exterior cleaner at each wash. Soak them down, agitate with a mothers wheel well brush, then rinse. Does a great job of cleaning them. Then I dress with CG bare bones. I give them a wipe with a foam applicator just to even out blotchiness. Works great, looks awesome...

    2008 Chevrolet Avalanche

If your fingernail catches on the scratches, they're too deep and need more than just polishing. If its a daily driver and I were you, I'd be happy if 90% of the car looked like your "after shot". Gotta remember, the more aggressive you go, the more clear you remove, and if its a dd, it's gonna...

Review: GTechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass

Nice review. Definitely pick up some g4 and polish before you coat the whole windshield to get max durability. I applied g1 back in August to my dd that, like yours, sits out in the elements all day every day. So far, going on 6 months, it still beads and sheets water fantastically, even in the...

All These products not enough time.

Same here. Plus I love buying and getting new goodies, so I buy as long as I have the means to do so. I love trying new car products. Obviously with it being winter I have much more unopened/untried products than I will spring time, but I definitely at least try them all:)

New SUV - LC Flat White or LC Hydro Tangerine Pad

I'd definitely do a test spot like you said. To me, being that its a new car and lighter in color, I'd forget about the orange pad and start out with trying a black finishing pad. You're just giving it a light polish to remove any possible marring or defects, it shouldn't be bad enough to where...

Help. Chaulky wheels on new camaro

A griots 3" polisher with some 4500 would probably do the trick and save you some time. If you don't have a gg3", by hand should improve them. It's an easy enough wheel to polish. I'd definitely make sure to seal them afterwards.

    2010 Malibu hubcap clean up

My gf picked up a used 2010 Malibu a couple weeks ago, and since I didn't have much going on today, I popped off her hubcaps and decided to see what I could do with them. The paint is a swirled out mess, but since its winter here in Michigan there's not much I can do with that until spring. I've...
