What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

You most certainly do and we love you for it. :)

:iagree: What the guy missing a headlite said. I love reading your posts and if you parlayed that to video, I’m sure you’d do well as long as you stay away from a sales agenda. I also understated that turning a passion into a job removes it as a release and enjoyment. But enjoying what you...

Newbie here, do I need iron remover before clay?

I lean towards doing an iron decontamination wash for two reasons and partially it depends on what type of clay material is used. First, an iron decontamination should dissolve many contaminants on/in the paint that won’t get pulled into a clay bar and therefore that clay may be able to be...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Turned the big 5-0 today and before the party I wanted to get the car washed so I did a BRS/N914 Rinseless and then added Adam’s Graphene Tire Dressing (Klasse older recommendation). And topped it with one of Coating’s favorites in PA High Gloss.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

This has to be the only reason Klasse isn’t in there every other day. :) But that place looks awesome!

What do you use to remove wheel weight stickers

DFB, I put Xenit but it was Tarminator. Thanks. It cleaned the interior of the wheel very well.

Ceramic coating vs. Si02 rinseless washes

I use Uber SiO2 Rinseless and it definitely leaves something nice behind but besides it’s cleaning ability being mild, the protection it leaves is fleeting (a week or so) and not as durable. It works much better as a topper for a coating, either true or CanCoat. For simple and quick, CanCoat...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Klasse, it looks like you did a rinseless wash right before that picture. And you’re making all the cars parked near you look really bad. Good thing I’m not parking next to you, mainly because I’d refuse if we were closer. :)

They did that so you’ll want the latest Ranger. Did it work? And you thought they were being nice giving you a loaner. :)

What do you use to remove wheel weight stickers

Last time I cleaned my wheels because I had the tire place redo the weights to hide them behind spokes, I used Goo Gone but I also wanted the wheel interiors completely cleaned so I used a green Scothbrite pad with Stoner Tarminator cleaner and that got the inside of the wheels completely clean...

    Water heater down.

For the master bathroom, that would be great. For my daughter’s bathroom I want it on a timer of no more 10 min as my teenage daughter seems to take it as a personal challenge to utilize the entire 50 gallons of hot water by herself.

    Water heater down.

For you guys that want tankless, have you used one? I haven’t lived with one but I’ve been over to my parents house multiple times and a few other places and I find them to be slow to get hot water going. Maybe some homerun pex would help with that but I haven’t been impressed by the tankless...

    “Baked In” Bug Stains

I bought a used burgundy Acura TL with low miles but it had multiple etchings from birds. I polished them but nothing alleviated them. The clearcoat was etched and not anything to be done short of repainting. Follow Eldorado2K’s recommendation but don’t go too far with 105 or you could burn...

    DFB's Garage

What I’ve noticed at various customer-facing businesses is that the employees aren’t getting trained, walking into a place and getting ignored for a couple minutes isn’t the way to do it even if they’re busy. Acknowledge the customer and let them know you’ll be with them in a moment. We could...

    DFB's Garage

We had a local restaurant put a note on the door to be patient because people would rather stay home watching Netflix than work, which didn’t go over well. Considering as how my son worked for them previously, the reality is they don’t pay enough or treat their employees well enough and that’s...

Amazing job on that Corvette mower but I think I like the body lines of a 66 Corvette better. :)
