    HighLine II meter off?

I haven't owned the Highline, but I have had the eBay version and there is a calibration process to correct the meter that may need to be performed from time to time. Given that the 2 units are nearly identical, I assume the calibration process would be the same... Follow the instructions on...

Got rid of my Overpriced Karcher PW and bought a Cheap Ryobi & Upgraded it... way better setup!!

As mentioned in the OP, I was using the MTM PF22 Foam Cannon. It works great with this setup. I'm sure any of their foam cannons would do just fine.

DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

The "drooping light" issue has been addressed previously in this thread. I switched to a different bulb that was far lighter than the initial bulbs I made my 1st Edition Lights with. These lighter bulbs never caused a drooping issue and the holder had no issues holding them at any angle...

    Essence+ and High Spots?

Since OC2.0 has been off the market for years now, I assume this is an old application you are referring to? If so, the high spots are likely to be quite hard by now and I would personally suggest using an abrasive polish or compound to remove them. Essence Plus is a non-abrasive "glaze" type...

    Getting Clean Windows?

Technique is important... I like to use 2 different towels (or a towel with 2 different sides as shown in the video). The first is a medium nap for actually cleaning the glass, the second is a low/no nap glass towel for producing a perfect finish.

DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

I do still have them. I will try to remember to have a look at them. Even if you have an EZ Up tent to work in outside, the ambient light is still going to be too high for "good" inspection. Especially on light colored paint. Dark colored vehicles can be inspected using the sunlight...

    Matte rims - coating ?

I did not prefer Sonax Wheel Rim Shield on Matte black wheels. When I attempted to use it on a matte black finish, it did not create a uniform finish and I had to wipe it away. Based on my experience with SWRS, it works best on glossy finishes and/or light colored wheels.

    Matte rims - coating ?

You'll be fine as long as you apply the coating properly. We have coated many matte and satin wheels over the years and the appearance is slightly darkened, as desertnate said, however they are not glossy/shiny/non-matte by any means after coating. If, however, you slather some coating all...

DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

I don't have any original packaging from my Torchstar bulbs, but I can tell you you will not notice 1100 vs. 1280 lumens in this application. However, using inspection lights outdoors with bright ambient light will be a waste of time. Inspection is best when you can control ambient lighting...

They're clever with that "claim" :)

    Photo hosting

Flickr includes a free 1 Tb of storage... but it isn't as quick to share photos from as some other options out there. That is what I really liked about Photobucket... when the website worked.

Video: MetroVac Master Blaster Revolution CAR DRYER !!!

I used one on a 15A breaker for years... it has 2 motors, so if you turn one on and let it ramp up, then turn the 2nd one on 20-30 seconds after starting the first one you will not have any issues. The unit exceeds 15A during startup only if you flip both motors on at the same time, but it will...

    Advice needed for coating wheels

Very simple... practice with some water to determine the ideal settings to produce a nice flow of product without overdoing it. It has been a while since I have sprayed wheels, but I believe we were typically around 25 PSI.

Video: MetroVac Master Blaster Revolution CAR DRYER !!!

Very entertaining... you're a natural in front of the camera :) We've loved the Master Blaster for many years. Nice review. Embedding video for OP....

    Advice needed for coating wheels

Airbrush is ideal for wheels. Saves a ton of time and makes even application in intricate areas a breeze. They can be had for cheap at Harbor Freight. If you don't want to mess with spraying, then simply wrapping a microfiber suede cloth around your (gloved) finger can be a simple and...

    Cquartz --First Time User Feedback

If you think the shine is great, just wait until you wash the car for the first time after application and you barely have to dry it :) A freshly coated vehicle can sheet 90% of the water off and you just have to do a little towel or blower work to take care of the rest.

Essence extreme gloss...guess I'm the odd one out

If essence is difficult to remove, then you're not doing something correct. It is in the top 3 easiest polishes to wipe away I have ever used... maybe even #1. At the end of the day, you may have some paint that doesn't play nicely with it. There is no "one size fits all" product, though in...

Essence extreme gloss...guess I'm the odd one out

It's all personal preference, right? That is the beauty of having 1,000,000 different polishes to chose from on the market. For instance, I personally do not like Menzerna products. I have always felt they are difficult to work with, however there are many people on here who would strongly...

Nanoskin clay....is it really that good?

We washed indoors in a climate controlled shop. The vehicles were not even warm to the touch, so that was not the issue. On a truly contaminated vehicle, it was almost guaranteed that we would see considerable marring with the nanoskin products... again, this was of NO concern to us whatsoever...

Nanoskin clay....is it really that good?

We found nanoskin to be extremely helpful in that it was a fantastic time saver, and they last a considerably long time... so for a business that did 99% paint correction work, they were the perfect option. We could "clay" an entire vehicle in 15-20 minutes no problem. However, for personal...
