Essence extreme gloss...guess I'm the odd one out

As I stated here, in several other threads, and in my personal review of Essence.... I have personally found this product to work best with firmer foam as it helps to break the product down better IMO. Our favorites were the Rupes Yellow and Rupes White Pads. The technique is VERY important...

Essence extreme gloss...guess I'm the odd one out

CarPro Polishes (essence and reflect) are unique, so if you try to use them like a Menzerna or Meguiar's polish, you're going to have a bad time... - Start with an unprimed pad. Do not prime your pad. Don't think about priming your pad. - Apply 4-5 small dots of product to your dry pad (you...

Got rid of my Overpriced Karcher PW and bought a Cheap Ryobi & Upgraded it... way better setup!!

Good find... the MTM hose I bought has an integrated swivel in it which I thought was a nice feature so if I end up switching guns in the future for whatever reason I am still in good shape :)

Still loving this setup... use it every 1-2 weeks on my car, and have done some cleaning around the house with it as well :)

    Very hard lesson learned today

There is a simple solution to this, but so many people seem to miss it...... wash your car when the sun has set. If there is no sun in the sky, there is no "direct sunlight" to worry about ;) I wash my car in the evening all the time once my kid goes to sleep. Sure, my neighbors think I am...

    Side Gig Taxes

If you are operating under a fictitious name (meaning a name other than your own) you will have to file a DBA. Check with your state on the proper process for doing that as well. You can also read up on the various business types as well... sole proprietor, LLC, etc.

    Side Gig Taxes

Yes, 1040 Schedule C. Keep track of your income and expenses. File quarterly tax estimates if you want to avoid owing it all at tax time. It is quite simple. You can utilize programs like “Turbo Tax Self Employed” to make it even easier on yourself. I believe the IRS has limits of when you...

Topping an all in one with a second product...?

In my opinion, if you're using an "All In One" product, there is no reason to top it with something more durable. If you want to perform the extra step of applying another layer of protection, just use a pure polish to begin with rather than an AIO. It is the same amount of work, and you'll...

    Rim protection from brake dust

It makes no more of a "mess" than using a product like HydrO2. Yes, you will get some product on both the tires and brakes... but it is a non issue. Overspray onto paint may only be an issue if it is windy, and therefore some common sense comes into play when spraying anything in a windy...

Photography - anyone in to it and want to share some of your work?

Big photography enthusiast here... interests began with portrait and still life photography, but I began doing more automotive stuff when I started detailing professionally. In the end, I can have fun taking pictures of just about anything... though most of my time anymore is spent taking...

Ceramic coat says 2 years but how many miles

Durability - whether measured in years, miles, etc. is all subjective. Driving 10,000 miles in the salt & snow is not comparable to 10,000 miles on dry roads. Just like 2 years living next to the ocean with harsh UV, salt, sand, etc. is not the same as 2 years in the Midwest. Take all of the...

Using a polish on ceramic coating?

I suppose "easily" is all relative.... Polish, after all, is an abrasive substance that's sole purpose is to remove paint... or any material it is rubbed against. Nano coatings are advertised as being around 1 micron in total film thickness. If you do a bit of research you might get a...
