    When you are not detailing....

Yeah, I fly 'em but not like that :D I got into the hobby when I was about 10 - some 40 years ago - ugh. I flew some "pattern" competition as a teen and did ok but found that i was better at screwing them into the ground than winning, and I really enjoyed the building aspect. There have been...

    When you are not detailing....

Kyle is one of the very best - makes simultaneously controlling elevator, rudder, ailerons and throttle within inches of the ground (actually touches the tail to the ground later in the video) look easy. It's not! :dblthumb2:

Here it is! BOSS - Best of Show System

You're totally making his point. I am betting he has some valuable experience and potential contributions that we all could learn from. AutoConcierge, I myself would enjoy some more "Back in the Day" stories. :xyxthumbs:

    When you are not detailing....

Thanks, Riff! The final product is more expensive than some small cars - about 400 hours or so of labor involved, due to my perfectionistic tendencies. Fortunately, most of these guys are sponsored so the $$ is usually not a big issue. Regardless, the hourly rate sucks. I do it because I...

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

I'm no electrical engineer but the Boss specs show 900 watts, vs 500 for the Rupes. I think that's more. Perhaps one thing to take into consideration. One thing for sure, I didn't expect to be considering adopting a Chinese baby after reading this announcement.

Floormat annoying me - is there really anything I can do?

Thank you Sir! At this point I'm considering this mat as my test bed and will try various options. Will report back on results.

Floormat annoying me - is there really anything I can do?

I really don't have a solid process - interiors are not my forte - that said, I vacuum regularly and have used diluted APC (megs) in combination with my little green machine as well as OTC "foaming" products without great results. I'm admitting a weakness here - be gentle :D Definitely would...

Floormat annoying me - is there really anything I can do?

Ok interior experts.... My drivers side floormat is really bothering me - yes, this is a daily driver and I guess this is evidence of the inevitable, but I gotta try. Is there really any way to get this looking better? I have a steamer, a crappy green machine "extractor", various brushes...

    BMW paint questions

You've got a good supply of products there. If you have areas that you feel need compounding (least aggressive first!) then I'd go for the FG400 initially. It's really good stuff and finishes down very nicely. 4000 is just icing on the cake. No worries on the Nanoskin, since you'll be...
