    what's your weather currently like?

Finally got a little of the white stuff: Downside is the roads were a sheet of ice as they didn't bother treating or pre-treating them. It's going to melt in the day or so anyway. Yeah, there's a Toyota under there somewhere wife always says it's a solid 6-7" that makes for a good...

Ceramic Coating - Maintenance Polish ?

Not necessarily for this instance, but I think it's a mistake when detailers and manufacturers use primarily years to describe longevity. Miles matter more than years as coatings tend to wear down from abrasion as well as exposure to the elements. I also don't buy into them lasting more than...

    From "stay tuned" to T U N E D !!

Agree. I can see this coming from here. They probably got the old ECU back and have figured things out and will likely take that as a way of not having to pay or document the issue that may or may not be the underlying cause. The Moss act is a little grey when fighting it. My wife is a...

    NISSAN Z NISMO 24

NOPE! Not here in Central Ohio or even where I've been traveling. Lots of the newer cars are scarce on the roads. IMO the Nissan is just way overpriced for what it is. They all are anymore but then so are eggs and milk. LOL!

    Wheel Wednesday!

I'm not normally a fan of black wheels but we've had two cars with them. They are my wife's cars so i'm not as pressed about updating them but depending on how 2024 goes, I may do so for her new car. Her Mazda has a slight flake in them but honestly, you'd never know as one errand to the...

HIT ME WITH IT.. What would you charge?

That truck was hammered. In terms of costing.....all depends on what the level of correction the customer is looking for. A 2-Step can be a full perfect paint correction or a 75%-95% correction. Depends on how you as a detailer market it. Also depends on the coating used. I see where you...

Auto geek phasing out iconic ‘Blonde hair mascot’

Agree. Not sure that's a good move for them. There are personalities and images from a branding perspective that should just remain in place. To me, that's one of them.

Drive it or preserve it? Your thoughts on rare vehicle preservation.

I see your point, but these are cars, items meant to be driven and experienced through use. To me when things meant to be experienced and interacted with are simply put on the shelf or in storage, it really defeats the purpose. It's my opinion, others can have theirs.

    Wife's new Mazda Turbo GYEON-ized

Agree. MOHS EVO is my go-to for coatings. Skin just helps the contact angle. It's subtle but noticeable. Water beads after a rain on a clean car are tight, nearly perfectly round marbles. My Accord has been done for a while and is still going strong.

Drive it or preserve it? Your thoughts on rare vehicle preservation.

I say drive the hell out of it. Unless one really just enjoys looking at it, in which case don't buy it, just go to a museum or something. I don't care what car, how much it costs or what the owners level of wealth is, if they buy it and park it, to me it's a laughable waste. Just drive...

What did you do today non-detailing related?

Yep. Mine's the 2.0T Touring. They also have a 1.5l turbo.

    Wife's new Mazda Turbo GYEON-ized

Yes and Yes and an overall better hydrophobic property. The contact angle is very nice. Syncro comes with enough product for 4 or so vehicles too. It does neutralize that Slick Feeling of Mohs EVO, though.

What did you do today non-detailing related?

I did my accord a while back. Not as nice but keeps the intercooler safe.

What did you do today non-detailing related?

Yes and no. The sides are but I had to buy extra and fabricate the center portion.

    Wife's new Mazda Turbo GYEON-ized

Couple interior shots after adding in the Tux Mats and giving the leather a nice once over with a little CarPro Pearl diluted 4:1 so it remains satin in appearance. Not the best lighting to see it but I LOVE how the perforations and stitching all around match the brown interior.

    Wife's new Mazda Turbo GYEON-ized

I finally got around to finishing up the ceramic coating on Tamie's car. This is her 2023 CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus Trim finished in Snowflake White Pearl Mica over Graphite and Mocha Leather. In addition to a full paint correction, aka my Signature Perfection Package, using my Flex 3401's and...

What did you do today non-detailing related?

I installed the lower grill area mesh to match the upper. Being fully open didn't look nearly as good, and it left the cooling system more exposed to fin damage from road debris.

    Do you wax entire car

Use the appropriate products for the materials. Wiper arms are very resilient to weathering and are easily replaceable. Glass gets the appropriate product, as does trim.

Challenger SRT DEMON wide body. Last call.

100%. They did well. I think the move to EV's for them however is going to be a disaster. The one to buy today if you want new and nice is the last year 300C with the 6.2l Low to mid $50's around me and fully loaded.....with 2006 technology. LOL! but still very nice for a full size...

    From "stay tuned" to T U N E D !!

The new 3.0's are not nearly as bulletproof. Loved mine, still feel it's a great looking design, although quite dated, but when I got mine the price was beyond great. Did a mild piggy back then a full AMS Tune then sold it to cash in on Covid Stupidity and am glad I did. Onced the boost...
