    what's your weather currently like?

Been raining here since Friday night, it’s been a high of 46 n low of 40. We were going to ceramic coat my daughters 2 year old Mazda SUV that she just purchased but I do not how the coatings behave when the cars surface are in the 40’s so will put off for better weather

    Polish aluminum boat

Thanks for the information. Do I need to polish the Pontoons every year. It’s a new 22 ft Manitou. I’m thinking do it every spring to keep up with it. I realized that if I remove the oxidation from my Cobalt every spring it takes less time than if I wait 2 to 3 years

LC Flat Pad vs Hydro Tech on gel coat

Is there much oxidation on the boat? Between seasons I have always used wool with Marine31 compound n polish followed by blue rupus coarse blue pad with polish, followed by finishing polish with foam( or ceramic coat instead of final polish, in which I did a IPA wipe down before coating). But...

    Gtechniq Marine Ceramic Top

GTech went on easily (Cobalt 242) after a light compound/polish followed by prep spray, will keep you posted on how well it holds up. I only did a compound n polish Marine 31.

Brand new car: ceramic coating alternative to CQuartz?

I have used WG Profi, over 12 months, still going strong. One bottle covers 2 cars ( currently $100, thus $50 a car). Goes on easy.

    #&$#@& high spots in coating

I do like the way ceramic coatings protect from bird bombs, non of my non ceramic coatings even come close for bird bomb protection.i do all my coatings indoor with controlled lighting.

    #&$#@& high spots in coating

I will continue to do coatings on my cars that are light colored so you can’t see my 1 or 2 highspots. But the F150 truck was a royal pain to coat, massive panels. Back to a couple coats of Colinite next time, less headaches

    Greetings folks!!

Welcome aboard. I used the WGDS followed by Fusion for almost 3 years on my BMW M4 (grey metallic) and it made it pop. I applied the sealant once a year n the fusion whenever I noticed changes in beading Or cleaning properties. Recently sold the M4, I do miss that wet shiny ride (sold it to buy...

Is CarPro Hydro2Foam as great as it looks?

Good stuff but as mentioned do not let it dry or you will have to break out the clay and/or polisher to correct the mess.

    M105 and gel coat

Excellent, as have used Fleetwax and other Collinite products on my F150 and they hold up nice. Looks like I will put on the Cobalt this year as ceramic coatings are painfully challenging and expensive to put on a 25 foot boat( unless you have a team assisting you, like in a class). I do have...

    SUV/Tall vehicle roof polishing!!

Totally agree as I use cordless for my F150 ( for me I have 3 cordless Flex, which I initially purchased for my boat since i do not have electricity when I work on it). I find the pickups easier to work on the roof compared to the SUVs.
