The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

My first thought was that you got snow already, and a Mustang.

What's the last form of exercise you've done?

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done? I work in a parts dept, so I'm going up and down stairs, with heavy parts sometimes, and also moving tires around a few times a week. Getting paid to exercise, yahoo.

    Glass Towels

I use a waffle weave towel from "that place that sells rags". Lightish blue/gray with a silk edge. Love them.

Finish waxing of newly painted acrylic lacquer paint

Seeing as it's a 57 Corvette, my guess is that it's not driven daily, or in poor weather. Doesn't seem a need to rush and wax it. In 6 months it'll be spring, the perfect time for it's first waxing.

1970 Plymouth Cuda Vitamin C Orange - Detailed by Mike Phillips

Probably the same reason you work from the top to the bottom on any washings. BTW, that Cuda looks great. Love to see cars in their original state.

    Great FL Car Show

When the QSL opened by my house, we went and ordered the Atomic wings. The waitress came by to ask if we needed anything else and we told her "hot sauce". The Atomic was a bomb. Now they have a new "Atomic", and it's just awful. All heat and no flavor. Do love their Buckeye BBQ, but that...

    Wax job - prep question

I don't have a problem using a cleaner wax when I feel it's needed. As soon as time permits, I'd throw on a coat of a non-cleaner wax (looking at you 845) after the cleaner wax.

    Time Dilemma

A rinseless wash should save you some time. Although it takes me about 2 hours to do my Charger (I'm slow), paint, wheels/tires and glass.

Phase one complete ---- Phase two ?

That's one clean Corvette. I normally don't like chrome wheels on a light car (I like more contrast) but yours really pops. Nice job :dblthumb2:

    Perfect example

Yes, when I get my new car, next year, I'm gonna give it the business: IronX, nanosponge, polish/seal, wax.

    california duster question

UPDATE: Just used my freshly washed duster this am. Car was ww'd last Sunday and had a medium/light coating of dust. Car has a less than month old coat of 845 on. It worked well. No smearing from the wax, as I just washed it so there is probably no wax on it. My paint is far from perfect...

What garage floor systems should I consider

I'm also considering a commercial floor company that could come in and stain or professionally epoxy the floor like a restaurant or warehouse, etc..... I'd go this route. Once it's done, it should be maintenance free. No need to worry about stuff getting under the tiles/panels.

Detail spray after collonite 845 to remove fingerprints

Wouldn't the ww ratio be different than the qd ratio ? I would think the ww mix would have less water than the qd mix. As far as the D156, I use it as a drying aid everytime I rinseless wash. Good stuff.

Tail of the Dragon & surrounding roads

Advice on what? If it's driving school, I don't think I'd spend alot of money on it unless you plan on racing. There are videos (YouTube, DVDs) and books to learn from. Try AutoX, it's a blast and you'll learn about your car too. You won't need to modify your suspension until you can...

Winter is Coming! - What do you guys use for a snow brush?

I use a "Hoppy". Looks just like the Snobrum but the brum is red and it has an ice scraper on the other end. It also extends. Sure hope I don't have to use it this winter.
