Tail of the Dragon & surrounding roads

Sorry to hear that you're disappointed. Guess driving somewhere to go driving is really a crap shoot. Unless it's a closed circuit, I don't think I'd take the chance of driving a few hours to drive a public-access road. Too many variables to go wrong. I do want to drive the Double Nickel...

The brand that is easiest to detail is the brand with the least amount of trim, badging, nooks and crannies, and chrome.

"Anybody else get disappointed after you detail your regularly detailed car?? " YES, EVERYTIME!!! My car is black and although I try to be as careful as possible, and try to use the correct techniques, I always notice new/pre-existing swirls, scratches, and stone chips. I would get some...

Tail of the Dragon & surrounding roads

Question for those who've done this. Since it's so popular, does traffic get congested or does it flow like you want it to?

    New rinseless wash guy....

I use the Gary Dean method also. I usually use up to 12 towels for the wash and about 10 for drying. I use ONR wash and D156 while drying. Love me some rinseless washing, and waterless when appropriate.

What to do with the current coat of sealant and wax when the time comes to reapply?

I can't speak about sealants, as I've never used them. For waxes, I will strip the car down in the spring (wash, Nano sponge, AIO, wax), than any additional waxings will just go on top of what's already there. I try to keep my car clean at all times, so there is really no need to stip it but...

    When it's gone, it's gone....

With my limited inventory, there isn't anything I have that cannot be replaced by something else that works just as well. There are so many variations of just about each kind of product that I don't think this will ever keep me up at night.
