Wow this thing needed some work. I was hired through family to travel down to Florida to detail a few cars. So not a bad deal when combined with a lil family time and make some money in the process. The hood and trunk were in really bad shape on this thing. It had severe oxidation and deep...

You know you are a detailer when....

That's awesome. My wife gets upset with me because every time we go to SAMs I buy a 30 pack of microfiber towels.

You know you are a detailer when....

I just walked into my garage and was hit with an overwhelming smell of waxes and compounds. I figured out my towel bin is a little full but I really liked the smell:)

Flex 3401 or GG Da polisher

I actually have both and as much as I love my GG my flex blows it away hands down. I was using my GG for about 6 months and it worked flawlessly. Then I had a customer bring a 02 dodge 1500 that was used in the oil fields and the GG just took way to long to remove the deep scratches. I decided...

    Buick Lucerne

No just the bad spots:buffing: I was very impressed with how fast the wool pad cut through everything. I may have found my new favorite pad:)

    Buick Lucerne

This car had some bird droppings sit on it for over a week and needed some major attention. The etchings from the bird droppings were so bad I could feel them through the sandpaper. I used: 1000-3000 grit sandpaper M105 with tuff buff wool pad M205 with LC orange pad Meg's m21 sealant with red...

    Volco XC-60

Amazing turn around! My friend always says "going woolie on it" when I use a wool pad for stronger correction. Great work!

    White Honda pilot

Yea the oxidation was pretty bad. I did a few test spots and they yellow pad removed it the easiest. Since the white wax is considered an AIO I used to as a polish and wax.

    White Honda pilot

Just finished a honda pilot. It was really hard to see with the white paint but it had a lot of oxidation on the hood roof and tops of the panels. Steps: 1. Wash & clay 2. Meguires ultimate compound with 6 yellow LC pads 3. Meguires white wax with 4 orange LC pads 4. Interior "forgot to take...

Pink lipstick on tan cloth seats

Thanks for the advice fellas. After I seen the car it was more like a spot of lipstick and not a melted lipstick. A little degreaser and magic sponge took care of it in a few minutes. Then I used a steam vac to dry up any excess product so it didn't cause any discoloration. I really appreciate...

Pink lipstick on tan cloth seats

Hey fellas I have a customer tonight that has tan cloth seats with melted pink lipstick on her passenger seat. It is a 2011 Hyundai sonata. What is the best way to clean it up? I'm thinkin a mild degreaser to break up the oil and a steamer to break it all lose.

    Buying the Flex 3401

The flex is an incredible machine. I started with a griot 6 and was looking for something that would work a little faster. I absolutely love my flex From the first time I used it. Now I use my griot with a 3 inch backing plate for bumpers and small areas that my flex won't fit in.

Horror Story and Need a Professional Auto Detailer in Daytona/Ormond Beach FL Area?

The reason the swirls keep coming back is because they probably didn't know how to use a rotary buffer and the oil in the wax was masking the swirls and then wore off. If you take it to another place I would have them explain to you step by step how they will do it. At least this way you can see...

    97 Ford F 150

Thanks fellas, I really appreciate it! I can't believe that it rained before the customer picked it up! But it stopped in time for me to wipe it down again. I forgot to write up the steps I used. 1. Wash 2. BleachWhite degreaser for tires 3. Clay 4. Meg UC/yellow pad (LC pads) 5. Meg...
