No problem. It was my pleasure...at .49 cents a minute. ;) :xyxthumbs: Gotta figure out cheaper out of country calls. Try it. I've never used backlight. I'm not sure if it has cleaners, abrasives, etc.

    Hydro 2 vs opti seal

What do you mean compare? They are designed for different applications and markets. I can't use hydro2 with rinseless washes, which makes hydro2 incomparable to opti-seal because I can't even use hydro2 because I don't have water. In reality very few people will be able to tell you the real...

Does anyone use a 4 post lift for detailing?

Anyway you can find a 4 post lift and test a couple common cars on it? What about a scissor lift? I know it limits the under carriage detailing some, but it is cheaper and you can get the wheels off and the car can then move to you, versus you moving to accommodate the car.

    Professional Help Please !

Anytime I clay a darker colored vehicle I always required a polish afterwards to customers for this very reason. The damage isn't very deep at all, but you did scuff the surface. Not a big deal. :xyxthumbs: Want it always in 75% or better condition with original shine and gloss? I think you...

    Still confused about sealants

Have you ever wiped water off of a surface? Notice how it spreads very thin as you do it. Now imagine on a smaller level molecules doing that, but spreading and bonding to paint on contact. I use Opti-Seal as my only sealant for customers. It's a great product. One spray per small panel and...

    Professional Help Please !

That's marring from the clay/clay towel product. You'll have to polish in order to remove it. It's almost unavoidable depending on the level of contamination and type of paint you're working on. BMW Jet Black Paint. Look at the A Pillar and Side Mirror. All was removed after polishing...

    Silver paint light scratches

The PC with microfiber cutting pads will cut for the hobbiest. You really don't need another machine. Have you had a chance to look at Mike's article list? http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-expert-featuring-mike-phillips/23722-car-detailing-articles-mike-phillips.html

    Silver paint light scratches

You want to seek out defects that you can't see in normal lighting conditions for a vehicle you drive daily? What I would do: Polish the whole car with a medium polishing pad and m205. It's going to remove light imperfections and return shine/gloss. If this was a show car and never gets...

Who has the best price... (Mytee & Flex)

More than likely that item will be drop shipped from the manufacture, meaning you better call AG this morning and get that thing ordered if you want such a good deal on the unit. IMO: I wouldn't ask where else to buy something on a forum run by one of the best online detailing suppliers. I...

In love with Pinnacle black label coating

Looks great! It's very a good product. I offer that as an Entry level coating for my customers, but has you've found out, there isn't very much entry level about it. :)

    Does autogeek sell these?

The smaller cyclo brushes work much better than those larger brushes.

    Sublet Opportunity Questions

First, I would never link my rent to my income. The more you make the more the space costs you? What? Just no. I would do the rent by day/week/month, depending on what you want. Figure out what it will cost you under a regular rent structure, then figure out if it makes economic sense.

    Hydro2 vs Traditional AIO

Hydro2 is a great product but it's finicky from experience. I've never had issues with it on wheels but paint is another beast. You need to do an IPA wipedown prior to using hydro2 so the surface is completely clean. I've had hydro2 streak following the instructions without the IPA wipedown on...

Are these the signs a of proper coating?

Think about putting a spoonful of honey in cold water versus hot, which takes longer to dissolve the honey? It's a similar thing, certain variables needs to be meet for bonding to optimal occur. This could be your problem, but since you didn't do the work it's hard to say what exactly happened...

    purple power degreaser

Personally, I wouldn't even bother with the stuff. I don't see a point in using it because it's not scalable. If you have an employee would you rather them using this product or one that is safer, with more safe purposes. I choose Meguiars APC, degreaser and wheel acid because of their track...

My new Cyan pads are done...

I bought 10+ of these pads in the 3 and 4 inch size, and they all chunk and just rain foam after a couple uses or cleans. The LC flat pads, not even once. I did buy these pads over a year ago but it would seem like the durability should be better. I'll post some pictures to show what I'm...

Vehicle Graphics - Option 1 or Option 2

I like both designs. I would consider adding key services that would be bulleted somewhere on the vehicle. Example: Headlight Restoration, Paint Correction, Opti-Coat, Etc. "buzz" words, so it catches people's eyes.
