Fellow detailers...what is your favorite part and least favorite part of the detail?

I really enjoy cleaning interiors. It is an overlooked part of the job. I hated waxing my car, so I would say waxing is my least favorite part of detailing. I am so glad I have Opti Coat now!

How do you personally wash and dry your microfibers

Cold wash with Tide, hang to dry. You could tumble dry on low, if needed. I do not buy into the hype of dedicated microfiber washes. It is not necessary.

    Average hourly wages.

Flash, this is one time I actually agree with you. Brad, you took the job for $10 an hour. You are being paid an average wage for your area. You should get another job or start your own business if this wage is not good enought for your skills. Man up and ask for the raise. You haven't...

    Wolfgang Fuzion, yes or no?

No, it is good product, but not worth the money. Search Fuzion durability on this forum and you will see many users unhappy with the durability of the wax.

New car in a few weeks, first steps?

I would wash it, use Iron X to decontaminate the paint, clay it,polish the paint(If needed) and then consider a sealant/wax combo or a coating. You will be shocked at all of the stuff that comes off your car with the Iron X and claying steps. I put Opti Coat on my new Acura last year...

    Question about Opti-coat

A whole car and wheels is about 10cc's. I would estimate about 1 cc for four wheels. If you are doing the entire inside of the wheels, then 2cc's at the most. If you are only doing wheels, then you will get at least abot 40- 80 wheels out of a 20 cc tube.

What is the annual income for an auto repair business?

This guy is clearly not a real poster. This is someone who is posting things to get people worked up. You just clearly outlined the reasons why this is a fake poster. 1. Just got his license, but works at an auto repair place. 2. He wantes his injectors cleaned, but works at an auto...

    Business Plan {(ROUGH DRAFT)}

I would consider reducing your lease terms, just to protect yourself. You may want to do a two year lease with an option for the third year. How many competitors do you have in your area? What is their pricing? How does it compare to yours?? Also, what kind of promotions will...

Coating CQ Finest and EXO, which is stronger?

Neither. OptiCoat is better than both. OptiCoat is permanent, while these two will need reapplication at some point.

Guys, I would just go with OptiCoat or CQuartz and be done with it. You are protected forever with OptiCoat.

If you could only use one brand...

I would be pretty upset if I was stuck with Zaino or Autoglym. I would go with Optimum. They are way ahead of others with their coatings and innovative products.

To Re-Opti Coat or Not... Input Wanted!

My Opti Coat is still beading like crazy and sheeting water. This is over a year later. I am happy with it. The sealants and waxes are ok, but they require a lot of maintainence.

Favorite / Least Favorite Memory from your first car?

My first vehicle was a 1976 GMC Sierra 4WD pickup. I had this in high school. It was a great truck. The best memory was four wheeling it in a posh neighborhood in Peters Township, PA. We went a mile or so in the woods and came out in somones back yard in a brand new high end housing plan...
