    Just my luck

That's why I have my emergency detail kit: waterless wash, glass cleaner, microfiber towels. And quarters for the wand wash, in case things get really nasty.

A little help with Wax longevity

I've not read any "manufacturers claims" of longevity, so do they say something to the effect of "under normal conditons" or "under test conditions" ? Because like many have said, conditions greatly vary throughout the world, some cars are garaged some, others not at all. Some get washed...

Which rinseless wash? ONR, ONRWW, CG Ecosmart, DG w/AW, Meg D114, or 3D?

So, if a spray wax is used while drying, as long as you're using a good quality rinseless wash, does it matter which rw is used? Because the spray wax will be the LSP, correct?

    Early Friday morning wash/detail.

Never thought about using Megs Hyperdressing on wheel wells. Or any product really. I need to clean my wheel wells, then I'll try it.

    "Best" glass cleaner

I use the water/vinegar solution for my inside windows. $25 for 32oz of Wolfgang? No thanks.

    "Best" glass cleaner

I love Stoners for the outside windows. Says on the bottle NOT to use on inside windows. Might be because of the smell, it's kinda strong. I'm going to try the Sprayway stuff.

    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

I unpacked my last order (Blackfire WW combo) and was just thrilled that they used packing paper instead of those damn peanuts. Thanks AG :props:

    Polishing is back breaking

If you're talking about doors/fenders, get a rolly stool. I have one that can be flipped on one side and then can use it as a step, so I can get the center of the roof (I'm also short). It's a life saver for sure.

    Yeah, that makes sense.

    Haha

I was watching something on Velocity the other night, so the next day, when my wife turns on the tv, it's still on Velocity. She watches for a short while and must have seen an AG commercial. She tells me that she now knows where I get my car "toys" from. :dblthumb2:

AG products not just for vehicles

Capt Obvious here. I used my Mother's Leather cleaner/protectant on some leather chairs in my smoking lounge. They haven't been cleaned (more than dusting) in a few years and this stuff worked great. They look and feel like new. I'm sure there are other products sold here that have multi...

    Spray bottles & waterless wash

JUST 2 towels? I go through at least 10 when doing my car. I also do waterless after a rain, so I'm a little more flexible than you with my "rules". I did just get that Blackfire kit, still have a few washed with my old Ultima, then I'll start with the BF. Can't wait to use that spray bottle.

Do friends ask you to detail their cars?

"REALLY nice cars" ? I'd tell them that I'd have to pick it up and bring it back to my house. That way you get to thrash on them for a minute Im the MAN

    Nanoskin

I've used the blue sponge (fine) on my black car and my wife's white car. No problems that I could see.

Fellow detailers...what is your favorite part and least favorite part of the detail?

Favorite parts are applying and removing wax. Least favorite is interior glass. Specially the back window. I have the reacher tool, but even then it's a PITA.

    Spray Wax Wait Time?

I don't see a reason to wait to apply another coat of spray wax. I'm sure the first coat is already cured. As far as water exposure, my rule of thumb (mine, not something I read, I think) is 12 hours. BTW, you know a Yukon isn't a Ford don't you? Im the MAN

Do you ever run into members here on different forums (non detailing related)

I have seen some members here on other forums. I will not say which members or what forums :coolgleam:
