It appears that AG doesn't ship the carbon filter any longer. While I ordered the deluxe kit (supposed to include a charcoal filter), what ships now appears to be an alternate type (has millions of little copper "BB"s inside the filter). I'm not even sure the re-generation tablets will work with...

I took Sparkie's advice ... pulled the trigger on a deluxe water filter system. A little trip to the local home depot (mounting hardware, posts, scrap wood) and here are the finished results ..
