    Good sealer

I like Ultima Paint Guard Plus and Optimum’s Opti-Seal. I think UPGP holds up a little better. Both are super easy to apply.

Clay not removing all of the contaminants

Are you seeing anything being picked by the regular clay? If you don’t see the regular clay picking anything up now, it may be just a lot of tiny stone chips that you are feeling with the baggy test.

Gross! What's the dirtiest car you have ever seen?

Pretty nasty!!! Here’s the worst one I’ve done. From this thread. https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/93070-pic-heavy-trashed-interior-job.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Video on a full paint correction, not out there

I’ll have to try that sometime. I don’t tape unless I have to, but I mostly do AIOs. I do intentionally go over newer smooth plastic but usually at the end of the pads cycle because of all the black crap it picks up from them.

Autogeek Approved Detailers In Port St. Lucie, Florida

I believe Jeff (forum name GSKR) is right there somewhere. I think his company has your town in its name.

Is there a sealant like product for black plastic. Rear truck bumpers, running boards, etc.

I like McKees Plastic Trim Restorer. It is very similar to, and just as good as WETS, but has a better price point. It does have more of a darkening effect on older trim than WETS does, and it works great on new trim. It’s not just for restoring. Both are easy to apply and plastics won’t look...

    Bug and Tar removal

I’ve been thinking about just mixing some Naptha in with some mineral spirits and using it out of my black Kwazar. I use Tarminator but it is not cost effective for a detail business. I can easily use a can per car.

What’s your favorite polish/compound when working by hand?

I like using an AIO/cleaner waxes in those areas. I use Optimum Poli-Seal. GG’s Fast Correcting Cream has worked well for spot compounding a scratch or two here and there, and paint transfer removal by hand. I generally use them both with a short nap microfiber towel in those areas.

    Best Glass Coating?

I tried CarPros Forte a year or two ago. I works well and lasted for a while but I could not see it going on at all. I don’t know if it was the conditions I applied it in but no matter how much I put on the applicator I could not see it going on the windshield. Kinda weird and frustrating...

    Seat Cleaner

The orange oil boosted cleaners do work really well. I think they use very low percentage in them because the more you add the less foaming action you get. The concentrated orange solvent cleaners are very good at removing oil and grease from carpet and fabric and it seems to dry faster than an...

TOOLS! - Can you count all the tools?

That’s probably more than some of your competitors inventory. I got 104 if I include the Griots 5" Lithium-Ion Random Orbital next to the pad table. I can’t make out whether those are some more “tools” next to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Drying towels: is the PFM by Griot's still the best?

I have a few small Griots PFM drying towels and they are ok. If there is a lot of water on the car it will be over saturated before if finish. The same as with my big waffle weave towels, the only difference is that with the big waffles is that I have many more clean sides to go to. With the...

    Pad storage

I use plastic containers and coffee cans. Here’s a pic from another thread I posted in. https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/tricks-tips-and-techniques/107845-my-carrying-bags-pads-applicators.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Keeping Performance Brakes and Rotors Looking Great

I haven’t done it, but how about coating the wheels and calipers also. It should make your maintenance easier.

    Will this work well?

I’d go with a more durable sealant as a base, or just apply Souvenir on a regular basis. I do not do alcohol, or paint prep, wipe downs for waxes and sealants. Just use lots of fresh towels to remove the polishing oils and you’ll be fine.

    BOGOs?

I would always check the BOGOs if I was placing an order. Although there was never much that was really exciting there was usually something I could use. Wash mitts and drying towels were my favorites.

Porduct MSDS's and what they tell you

It may not be listed because it is not considered hazardous. They do not have to list all ingredients. I believe they only have to list the hazardous ones, but can also choose list ones that aren’t.

    Collinite 845 - spray

There are a couple of threads around here on using through a pump sprayer. I believe FunX Bob also uses it this way. I can’t remember the terms Bob used but it’s like yogurt, the more the wax is shaken, the more liquid it becomes.

    what product to use next.....

It looks great!!! I believe you’re on the right track, but you may have needed to compound more to remove the pigtails if they are pigtails. Sanding with a DA can leave pigtails, rotaries leave holograms. Mike also recommendes stiff, or sharp, foam pads for the polishing step. The white and...

    Small specks in paint?

^That my thought after seeing the pics. Possibly some lovey chemical that someone accidentally spattered onto the hood. That, or maybe bug droppings/secretions but then it probably would not be so localized.? Maybe try rubbing it a little more with the AIO to see if it pulls anymore out.
