Need 3" backing plate and pads and an AIO

I've been looking at the D166. Did you see that 3" plate and pads I listed a few posts ago? Do you think these will be good for me to convert my CG Torq 6" to a 3" tool? I'd like to keep my GG 6" as my primary tool with 5" pads and the Torq as the 3" using the pads I listed a few posts ago...

Review: Mothers Power Cone - 1962 Impala SS by Mike Phillips

I have an 06 300C SRT8 with a Corsa cat back exhaust system. I used the power ball on a Dewalt cordless drill several months ago with the Mothers mag and aluminum polish you see Mike using. The tool worked great on the inside of each tip and on the sides and bottom. The top of each tip was tough...

Need 3" backing plate and pads and an AIO

Thanks, Mark. I think the Blackfire may be too $ for me, though. What do you think of the pad selection and backing plate I noted above?

New addition to the shop. Quickjack 7000!!!

What a great buy! I so want one of these and have started saving. It'd be for personal use, but I love to wrench on my own car, too, so this would help that fix and the detailing fetish.

The details: What have learned since you joined AGO

I learned that I could cut my detailing time in half and improve my results by using a machine and quality products. I also learned that I could use clay. Now I've learned that there's Iron-X to decon the paint like I do the wheels with GG HD Wheel Cleaner, so next purchase is some Iron-X or...

The details: What have learned since you joined AGO

Bwahahahhhaaaa...that was me, too, man. I used the Megs 3-step Crystal products - Paint Cleaner, Polish, and Wax. I still have some of that liquid stuff. Though, I used multiple pads for each step, I did it by hand...

How To: Properly Clean, Protect, & Maintain Wheels & Tires

My 2006 300C SRT8 has stock 20" wheels with 86k miles on them. While I've kept them clean with Griots HD wheel cleaner and regular soap and water, I've never clayed them nor have I ever taken a polish or a polisher to them. I'm not sure if they're clear coated or not. How do some of you pro...

Griots 6” random orbital- why 6” backing plate?

I just threw on a 5" backing plate on my GG 6" and went to work with 5.5" pads. No weight change needed.

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Washed my 2006 300C SRT8 (86k on the clock) this past weekend and this evening threw a coat of Megs Fast Finish on her. She sits in my garage tonight ready to take my youngest to school in the morning.

Need 3" backing plate and pads and an AIO

I have a Brilliant Black 06 300c SRT8. The paint is in really good shape except for the various rock chips, i.e., no deep scratches, no marring, no swirls. Well, it does have water spots on the roof that I haven't been able to get off with Megs UC, though, admittedly, I didn't really work it...

    Website ideas

My $0.02...when I land on your page, it's really busy, just a whole lot going on. For example, my first two looks at it, I missed the navi buttons because of the large font surrounding them and the pics. I do technical writing and editing as part of my job and I noticed the following things...

    Website ideas

Dan Tran, I like the pics on the website, my only issue is that when I first landed on it, I clicked through the links at the bottom left not knowing seeing the circle with the i in it at the top right. It took me several minutes to figure out that for info about your company that I needed to...

    Pressure Washer

I'm also in the market now for a power washer. But it needs to serve multiple purposes, such as car washing with lots of suds and cleaning wood siding, driveway, and similar uses. Not sure if I should get gas or electric, 1500 or 2000 psi, hose roller, etc. Interested in how this thread goes.
