Looking for a quality drying towel

I ordered 4 from Pepboys (seem to be the cheapest using a discount code). I generally only have to use 2 on my '06 300C and 2 on our Pacifica after using a blower to get water out of seams, spaces, etc. I find that using a drying aide like Griot's speed shine helps.

Looking for a good Rim wax

A just-in-time thread for me as I'm looking to do something with my clear coated wheels in addition to properly cleaning them. But, man, these coatings are absurdly expensive....except, I saw this kit - https://www.autogeek.net/dp-coating-kit.html. $100 bucks to coat paint, glass, and...

Help with DIY repaint of lower front clip

So, I went with an abbreviated process and skipped the filler primer. I know that lower lip will get scraped up, again, so I just went with wet sanding with a medium grit block, then painting and clearing with Duplicolor's perfect match color and clear. I'm happy with the results despite not...

How to clean calipers painted with VHT Caliper Paint?

Just painted my Brembo calipers that are my 06 300C SRT8. I used VHTs high temp primer, caliper paint, and clear coat on them. I am wondering if Griots HD wheel cleaner is too strong for them? If so, what alternative wheel cleaner should I use? Thanks in advance.

Help with DIY repaint of lower front clip

Thanks, guys. I'm taking the car to my mechanic on Saturday and he'll be putting it on a lift. My plan of attack was to, while up on the lift, tape-off the area, hit the area with 220, 320, then 400g paper, hit it with some filler primer, sand it, spray color, and then clear it. I think this...

Help with DIY repaint of lower front clip

Thanks for the advice. I was hoping I was descriptive enough. Some of the same scratches are scrapes and some are minor gouges. Their edges look like those on some scratches your see on interior plastic where they're raised. I want to knock those down and get the surface prepped for that...

Help with DIY repaint of lower front clip

I have a 2006 300C SRT8. The car has a lip on the bottom of the front clip. When I bought it, the underside of that lip was pretty scratched up from being pulled over parking blocks or rubbing pavement when going down a steep drive into a roadway. Out on the ends, the damage isn't bad with...

Did DP Rinseless Wash N Gloss become N-914?

Does that mean I can use N914 following polishing to remove any leftover polishing oils?

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Man, that's wicked, dude. You live up around Washington Park area? I remember that area being rekt last year with the snow. Fortunately, I live in Beaverton and while the roads were slippery, it wasn't bad at all. BTW, good work on helping out the neighbors...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Oh...you're one of those guys, lols. Michigan banned studded tires long ago, so when we moved out here to Beaverton and saw studded tires it was immediately clear, in part, why the roads are in such disrepair. Fortunately, I haven't had the need to use studded tires or chains, yet...

    Mystery boxes!

Glad they're trying to make it right. But this is the reason I didn't order it. If the mystery boxes were branded, i.e., a Meguiar's mystery box, Chemical Guys mystery box, etc., then I'd be all over it. But getting overstocked, mismatched, or unusable items just kill the opportunity.

The "Suggestions" & "Comments" Thread for Autogeek

Started a reply then realized how old this post was, lols. The shipping thing is just gnawing at me. I am spoiled by Amazon even though I know that shipping ain't cheap, but still...every time I order something, it's almost Amazon every time that gets the business because of shipping.

How to remove tiny pinhole pits in glass windows using a rotary buffer

Our '05 Pacifica has bad pitting...tried just normal DA polisher and normal compound, but no joy. How much more powerful is a rotary like Mike used compared to an ordinary household drill? Is a rotary unit a specialized tool that I'd need to tackle a job like micro-pitting on a windshield?

    Sealant comparison

Man, I'm in Beaverton and feel you...although, this week has been so nice, just too cold to do any detailing work on the outside.

Advice regarding Torq polishers - Keep or Sell

Great idea. Each Torq came in a kit, so I got an 9-10 pads between the two. So, I never thought about buying the GG3. Sell both and then get the GG3 with 2 pads for each stage of the process. Legit...
