1959 Corvette major correction - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Hi guys, unfortunately it's been a while since I've had enough time to post anything on the forum, but this was a recent job that I figured would be appreciated on here. This was a new client referred to me by one of my oldest, he bought this car more than forty years ago and since then only put...

Rough 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 - correction & coating - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Hey guys, this is a recent correction and coating job I did for a new customer. He contacted me about correction and coating work, citing that he was the second owner of the car and the paint was "pretty bad". After taking a look at the car, it was obvious its 91k miles hadn't been easy ones and...

1976 BMW 2002 paint corection - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Hey everyone, the summer was really busy this year, so I've been slacking with my write-ups. Hopefully this is of interest. This beautiful 1976 BMW 2002 was in need of some attention. Much of the car had been repainted over twenty years ago (base/clear), leaving plenty of time for unsightly...

    Black 1987 911 correction & coating - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

This 1987 911 was bought as a daily driver and was in need of some serious TLC. The car was fully repainted in 1994 with bc/cc, and appeared to have been wetsanded and polished at some point based on the very minimal orange peel. Though the car had a decent shine to begin with, the paint showed...

2017 Panamera E-Hybrid correction and coating - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

This paint was pretty hard, as is most newer Porsche paint. If you go back to a 996 or 997 the paint is usually very soft.

2017 Panamera E-Hybrid correction and coating - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Hey guys, this car belonged to a new customer who was referred to me via a friend in the local Porsche club. It's a 2017 Panamera E-Hybrid, bought new a few weeks prior to the detail. Given that this will be a daily driver, the owner wanted a ceramic coating to keep maintenance to a minimum and...

That yellow looks great - glowing! I'm definitely jealous of the weather you've got there, CT winters are a mess.

1940 Nash attacked by a rotary noob - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Thanks everyone! Belair- I just wiped down the running boards (might not have been done in the pics), as I didn't want to make them slippery by dressing them. Mike- Thanks! I appreciate the kind words from an AG online legend. I'll have to try #7 as the last step before sealing on the next...

1940 Nash attacked by a rotary noob - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT Hey guys, I haven’t posted in a while and figured this was a good car to get back into the swing of things with. Like the title says, this is a 1940 Nash and the paint was absolutely hammered by an inexperienced rotary user...

99 Holiday Rambler heavy oxidation removal - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

I used LC polishing and light cutting pads, I actually tried (on a small area- the test spot) D300, Meguiar's #7, etc in an attempt to mimic the effects of #49 before ordering it, and they didn't come close to #49. The combination of the abrasives and oils in #49 made removing the oxidation very...

99 Holiday Rambler heavy oxidation removal - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Thanks everyone, and thanks Mike Phillips for that pic! GSKR- If you have any other questions about my process, just pm me. It's important to swap pads frequently and use an abundance of #49 (I mean, a LOT). I was going through 30+ pads in a 3-4 hour work period just to keep working efficiently...

99 Holiday Rambler heavy oxidation removal - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

I forgot to mention, in some of the "after" pics, the lower trim had yet to be cleaned. Also, the front and rear of the trailer would be repainted in addition to the roof, so those areas were left alone (polishing had no effect on their appearance).

99 Holiday Rambler heavy oxidation removal - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Hey guys, I haven’t posted in a while due to the nice weather in CT, I figured this set of pictures might be worth sharing since it’s a little out of the ordinary. Like the title says, this trailer was manufactured in 1999 by Holiday Rambler, it has an aluminum frame IIRC (hence the Aluma-Lite...
