    66 Vette, 42 Pontiac, RX-8, 74 Doge D100 - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Thanks! I'm actually mobile, I have a cargo van with a generator, water tank, water filtration system, polishers, compressor, etc. I do have a garage that I sometimes do bigger projects out of, but 99% of the time it's more convenient for me to just go to the customer.

Very nice, how much would you say the extractor helped in addition to using the steamer and APC?

    66 Vette, 42 Pontiac, RX-8, 74 Doge D100 - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Thanks guys! The old ones definitely are fun, and the owners are always appreciative of the work that goes into these projects, which is awesome. Thanks Mike! I actually learned the #7 technique from that tutorial, it definitely brings the paint back to life! On that Dodge the paint was very...

    66 Vette, 42 Pontiac, RX-8, 74 Doge D100 - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Next up is a 2004 Mazda RX-8 owned by a new client who wanted this done as a surprise for his wife (the car’s owner) while she was away on vacation. This particular color is apparently pretty rare, unfortunately it was heavily swirled and etched with water spots. The car received a wash, decon...

    66 Vette, 42 Pontiac, RX-8, 74 Doge D100 - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Hey guys, I haven’t posted in a while and figured I’d share a few of the more interesting cars I’ve detailed this summer. First up is the 66 Vette, this one is owned by an older gentleman who used to operate a custom cars and antiques business. He had just picked up this 66, 427 Vette and wanted...

    1965 Shelby GT350 (rep) - 2 step correction - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Thanks for the compliments! This was a fun one for sure, definitely rewarding to see the finished product. fly07sti- The total time for this was around 12-13 hours. Oldmodman- This was base/clear, the owner wasn't concerned with getting everything perfect so I masked off the trim and emblems...

    1965 Shelby GT350 (rep) - 2 step correction - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

This Shelby replica was done up very nicely; the body was straight, no signs of bondo, all of the trim had been replaced during the restoration approximately nine years ago. The car had a 289 that looked (to my eyes) just as it should, the interior was fresh and aside from an aftermarket stereo...

1958 Chevy Impala - covered in overspray - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

I typically give this car a quick detail inside and out every year, but this time was a little different as the owner had spray painted some cabinets in the garage and covered the car in white overspray. In all of the before pictures the car is actually clean; the haze you see is the overspray...

2014 S4 Prestige - Corrected and coated with CQuartz UK, 13 CRV- Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

First up is the S4. The owner of this car is a true car guy, having owned a 3000GT VR-4, various Nissan 240SXs, a couple Ducattis (currently an 848 Evo, beautiful bike), and most recently the IS350F that I coated with CQuartz UK. While the IS350 was an elegant, comfortable and somewhat quick...

07 Honda CRV - NBP - major correction - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

Thanks everyone! I used the KBM method because it cut quickly and the micro-marring it left was easily removed with just 2-3 passes with a foam finishing pad. The method I used here wasn;t a strict KMB method; I used light-moderate pressure and faster arm speed due to the softness of the...

07 Honda CRV - NBP - major correction - Pinnacle Auto Detail - CT

I was recently contacted by a former detailer looking to have his son ’s Honda CRV detailed as a Christmas present. After some discussion and an inspection of the car we agreed on a two-step correction of the paint and a thorough interior cleaning. I won’t say too much about the condition of the...
