Removing tar spots from paintwork and alloy wheels

While no one can argue that and you can certainly smell the difference, but I do have both products right now. Roadkill is a very underrated product IMO and was excited to try it out when they first introduced it. It works extremely well at fighting tar, but I never really tested them side by...

Removing tar spots from paintwork and alloy wheels

Tar X is awesome, but I love another product for this because it's more cost effective. Detailers Road Kill

Garage queen with no brake dust...

For your wheels; yes that's fine. For your tires you maybe need to hit them with some all purpose cleaner here and there to help combat the appearance issue caused by tire browning (bloom).

    McCulloch Steamer - Partial Review

Looks like they have a whole new website and more products that are even better. Anyways, here is the difference between the original brush and a brand new one that came as a replacement. (well they feel like the same stiffness) ...and here is how I mostly use mine For the price, it has...

Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

Absolutely...maybe you can help spread the word of this horrible habit people have. My blood is boiling just thinking about it...ahhhhhh Not serious, but it does annoy me a lot when I see it. Same here. Sealants on the windows make everything easier.

Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

Maybe this doesn't qualify for 'driving behind someone', but I cant stand when people have their windshield wipers on hurricane mode when its barely drizzling out. Don't know why it bothers me, but I cant stand it; especially when I'm the PASSENGER in that very car that has hurricane mode...

    McCulloch Steamer - Partial Review

I have used it to clean wheels, but it's more time consuming than using a ferrous fighting wheel cleaner and water. However, if there are spots on the wheels that you can't seem to get clean (built up dust/grime) then this machine will knock it completely down. I also use mine for stains...

Review: Meguiars DUB color changing wheel cleaner

So I saw the thread on the Megiuars forums, but didn't see anything about where it's going to be sold. Retailers like Walmart? Meijer? Or just AAP, Autozone, Pep Boys, etc..? It was nice having kind of an exclusive ferrous fighting, color changing wheel cleaner not being sold at local...

    Budget Steamer

I have had the McCulloch one for maybe 2ish years. Love it for what it is: I don't do this for a living so it's perfect for me and would imagine you would want to save your money for a 'pro'-commercial grade one if you work on a lot of cars monthly. I use it around the house a ton as well.

    Trouble correcting paint

Consider playing with pad combinations as well. IMO you don't always need to couple an aggressive polish with an aggressive pad. (Especially on soft paints) Adding to the point above sometimes SMAT polishes don't play well with soft paints; while they eliminate swirls, they add their own...

I Need Help Determining What This Tire Dressing Is!

If what you're taking about are yellow stains from sling then that's cause by solvent based tire dressings that contain Dimethylsiloxane (aka DMS). The combination of DMS and the blooming process creates a compound that slings onto your paint. It's mostly permanent unless repainted because it...

    Detailed a Taxi

I have a few questions: 1. Did you have to clay and use a ferrous fighting spray? 2. Did you need to correct any imperfections? Such as urine, drool, stool etching?...scratches from said cat's nails? 3. What LSP did you use? Thanks and Merry Christmas Brian *Every cat I've been around can't...

Battling Salt and Road Grime in The North Eastern US

This is probably the best way during cold crappy weather. So another vote for this. No matter what; you're always going to be battling winter weather and your car will never be as clean as it can be during the summer. Buuuuut having protection on the paint, glass, runners, plastics, metals...

White paint and my tiny orange friends

Was that the first time you clayed the Durango? My initial thought is that you didn't get all the embedded particles out the first time. (This happens a lot) A new car doesn't always have 'orange friends' all over it right away, but over time they continue to rust and become more and more...

Has Anyone Tried The New And Improved Garry Dean Method?

This is what I've said before; he hasn't invented anything he just promotes this type of wash method more than anyone and calls it his own. I wasn't around in the 50s, but my grandfather and dad did this type of car washing however many years ago. ...but like you said rinse less products...
