Can't Find A Decent Spray Bottle Trigger

I'm another supporter of Tolco. I'm also a supporter of the Delta Industries (Spraymasters) sprayers. They're very high volume and they come with a five year warranty. You can find them at Home Depot too, which makes swapping them out very quick. Another plus for the DI sprayers, the bottles...

Rinseless vs waterless for weekly washes? What do you do and why

How are you doing your wheels? By hand with separate wash solution or a wheel bucket with wheel brushes?

Opinions on Turtle Wax's polish for black cars.

There's nothing that's "meant" for black paint. It's all covered in clear coat no matter the color. When you're polishing you're leveling the clear to make tge paint look flawless. If you don't want to spend the time learning how to polish then just get a glaze and fill in tge imperfections...

    DA over Rotary...

The Zentool DA? Don't buy that. That thing is TERRIBLE. I'd rather use a Porter Cable. Honestly, you're better off getting a set of long throw DAs (3 inch and 5 inch) or maybe a 3 inch long throw DA and the 3401, but not a 3401 and a large long throw DA. Learn and master making the most out of...

    Audi s4 nappa silk leather

Lexol conditioner sucks. Lexol cleaner isn't bad, but it's not that good either. I'll recommend HD Protect, it's great for leather and everything plastic in the interior.

    Best Interior APC Cleaner

I've spent all semester dealing with acids and bases... Has me thinking about bringing some different APCs into the lab and using an array of indicators and pH probes... Ugh never mind. Leaving the surface with APC on it isn't going to attract dirt because the pH is different. It will attract...

    Best Interior APC Cleaner

I'm not going to ever use an interior cleaner with a 1:4 dilution unless it's specially designed for uncommon situations. I do too many interiors for such a poorly concentrated stock solution. I understand there are components that probably don't work well in stronger concentrations, but I've...

    Best Interior APC Cleaner

Look at my reply to your wheel and tire cleaner and you'll see I suggest Duragloss Ultimate Orange. It really baffles me nobody uses this stuff. It's Meguiar's APC with better cleaning abilities outside the interior. It's just as good inside the interior as anything else and it's RIDICULOUSLY cheap.

    Go-To Tire and Wheel cleaner

Duragloss Ultimate Orange. Works in dilutions of 1:5 to straight as an effective tire cleaner. Depending on wheel condition it is very capable in that utilization. Also works very well for interiors at 1:20 and 1:10. It's dirt cheap too.

    Lexus Self-Healing Paint

Yeah, it's out. Supposedly one of my former coworkers is getting his entire car repainted and then having the body shop apply it. I don't know how much I believe him but I know the stuff does actually exist.

Supplements for maguiars apc and super degreaser

Because you're in Canada? I'm sure there's somewhere that sells it locally. I'd call Duragloss and ask what stores carry their products in Canada. Otherwise search "Duragloss in Canada" and you'll find places that ship from Canada.

    Paint Protection Film expectations

Well, what is it exactly you want from them? They might not even know how how to remove scratches from it. Honestly I would remove it if you want the car to look perfect, but if you'd rather keep the protection then you might be able to use something like CarPro Essence and that'll improve the...

Supplements for maguiars apc and super degreaser

Duragloss Ultimate Orange. I use it 1:20 in interiors and it's better than anything else I've used in the exterior (APC wise) not called Power Clean.

    Mineral Spirits for Tire Cleaner?

You think it "seems" similar to Tarminator? Is that according to the MSDS or your nose? I'd just buy Tarminator in larger quantities if I were you. I've never had to use anything other than Duragloss Ultimate Orange straight when Ultimate Orange diluted takes too long.

    Paint Protection Film expectations

Find the original dealer and provide the VIN and they should be able to tell you where they outsource the job or buy PPF from. I do it all the time when I get cars with "dealer" installed PPF and wanna know what I can and can't do without voiding warranties.

    Leather Cleaning, Lexus-specific

If it's coated leather (which it is) then clean it like vinyl. Using Megs D101 at 1:10 is perfectly fine. The only time stuff gets weird or specific is when you have uncoated, "saddle" leather like you used to see in the King Ranch Fords. If you prefer to use a leather cleaner/conditioner...

Meguiar's D114 Rinsefree Express Wash Is Discontinued

Nearly any wash is going to remove polishing oils whether it's waterless, rinseless, or traditional. In order for anything to clean a car it'll have to have a nonpolar component to dissolve nonpolar contaminants. Polishing oils are a lot easier to remove than other nonpolar molecules like tar...

    BMW E30 Correction

It's very likely not single stage if it's from 1990. I don't know when BMW switched entirely to clear coats, but I'm guessing before 1990. Other than that, you should really check for any clear coat failure. Peeling isn't the only sign if clear coat failure. Search the forum for 'crows feet'...

Using HF 6" DA on 2006 Toyota Sienna

I'd say it's slightly quieter and a little more than slightly smoother. Honestly, the Porter Cable is the smoothest of the 8mm DA's I've ever tried. If you take apart the HF and repack it with better grease, the HF runs cooler and quiter. Honestly though, knowing what I do now I'd have never...
