    How Holden Was MURDERED

Sadly, GM has a long tail of brands left behind as flaming wreckage; both foreign and domestic. While I might miss Pontiac and Oldsmobile on a rare occasion, it's Saab and Holden that hurt the worst. Both were needlessly assimilated, and then run into the ground. I don't know much about...

    Spring paint prep question

Agree. Let the condition of the paint be your guide. If the paint isn't all swirled up from things like snow removal or the few washes you've done since the last polishing, you might be able to get away with just a "wash 'n wax" job.

⚠️ Where have all the bugs gone?? ⚠️

I think timing and the previous winter conditions have a lot to do with it. Last year, after having multiple really mild winters, the bugs we'd encounter on a road trip across Missouri and into northern Oklahoma were the worst we've ever seen in that area and it started in March! This year...

    Any decent ceramic/graphene AIO?

Collinite 845 did it to me as well, but it didn't happen until the car sat out in blazing sun on a hot day. I had hazy patches all over the car where I'd applied it a bit too thick. Fortunately a quick wash or a little QD and a MF towel fixed things.

    Ford Mustang Raptor

That was written two years ago and not a peep in the automotive world since. My feeling is we'll never see it. On the other hand, Porsche and Lamborghini have done it, so why not Ford? They have the Mach-E Rally already. From a practical standpoint, the way our roads are crumbling, something...

    Any decent ceramic/graphene AIO?

I agree, but the OP mentioned using a topper every couple of washes which makes me think he could give up a little in durability for ease of use. Just use a spray sealant and continually freshen the LSP.

    2025 FuelFed opener...Lake Forest!

I think there is a little confusion. I just commented about going to an event where they were parked together and the interesting comparison. Not this one Klasse attended.

    2025 FuelFed opener...Lake Forest!

I much rather go to an "open" even like Cars and Coffee, or something like this event. Everyone is far more social and interactive regardless of what you bring. I've had some great, in-depth, conversations with total strangers after noting noting some random detail about a car that neither of...

    Any decent ceramic/graphene AIO?

If you are going to use a topper anyway, I'd recommend something a little different: use a mild polish and then just apply a highly durable spray sealant after polishing. It's the same number of steps, you'll have a greater number of products to choose from, and a better chance of getting a...

    2025 FuelFed opener...Lake Forest!

Love seeing pictures of that 2002 and the Lancia. Some seriously cool cars overall. The Emira is easily one of the best looking cars in production right now. Last year I attended an event where someone parked a 1973 Europa next to a First Edition Emira. That was a pretty interesting...

    DFB's Soapy Notes

That is exactly why I tried it. At the time, it kept popping up in soap discusions. My mistake was buying a gallon jug right about the time my family fleet shrunk by half. It's taking me forever to kill it off. I'm nearing the bottom of the jug and it can't come soon enough. Lesson learned...

    DFB's Soapy Notes

Thanks! Hyperwash is my go-to wash soap, but I'm always curious when hearing rave reviews about other products from multiple people. I do appreciate the better cleaning power of Hyper Wash when dealing with constant bug issues during the summer. I also appreciate the fact my coatings seem to...

    Favorite Car Reviews

As hard as I try, I still can't like the E60 or F10 generations of the 5-series. I actually don't mind the G30 and G60's. They still have proportional kidney grills and look like a proper BMW sedan, unlike the 4 series and the 7 series. I test drove a G60 i5 at a promotional even a couple...

How would you guys rank Adams Blue against Meguiars Hyperwash? They are roughly the same price for a gallon on Amazon, but the Meguiars is slightly cheaper at HF.

Small black dots/deposits on wheels - safest way to remove ?

I am curious about a car with forged BBS wheels from the factory. Would be helpful to know, especially if it's a German car with their lovely, dusty OEM pads.

Small black dots/deposits on wheels - safest way to remove ?

Glad to hear they are raised, that means there is hope for removal. The pitting I was mentioning wasn't from rocks or debris. Some brake dust becomes acidic when it gets hot and wet which leads to the pitting from the dust eating away the finish. It looks similar to what I see in your...

How To Use BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish

No, the SRC polishes were just their line of regular polishes and compounds. The one being asked about here was a mild abrasive "cleaner" with a glaze mixed in. Unless they make different products for the Canadian market, that bottle has to be at least six or seven years old. The SRC polishes...

How To Use BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish

I'm not sure that product survived when they restructured the brand and changed all the labels years ago. This post is so old, I think they pulled all the images and I can't see the bottle. The only other product I can think of that has both is both polish and a glaze is Prima Amigo, but it's...

Small black dots/deposits on wheels - safest way to remove ?

Can you feel anything? Are they raised? I can see two possible scenarios here. It's some type of grime or brake dust that hopefully a strong wheel cleaner, other chemical, claybar, or even maybe a little mild polish might remove. Brake dust baked on the wheels and has now pitted the painted...
