    Potential customer for mobile detailers

I've got a new customer and I want to share it. Its a chain of title loan stores in my humble town. When they repo a car the customer has a chance to get it out of hock. It not then the car goes to auction. Thats where I come in. The auctions are once a week so I start the morning of the...

    Astro Van Mobile Set up

A thought for you about the Astro van. If you haven't done so try using ONR on as many vehicles as you can. It might help you decide on the size water tank you need. That in turn will help with your vehicle choice or atleast it has mine. I can do 5 cars a day and sometimes use less than 10...

    Dreaded Electric Pressure Washer

I went thru three electric PW's in 4 months. Got tired of it so I bought a 12V pump from camping world. It provides enough pressure to simulate my water hose at my house. Pump cost me about $120. The only time I miss the pressure washer is doing floormats. I definetly use much less gas for...

DIY paint job. Anyone here ever tried it?

That was a pretty gay statement, not that I'm against that type of relationship. To each his own. The reason I'd consider rolling the paint would be doing everything myself and doing it differently than everybody else. I've always considered the RX-7 to be different so in my mind rolling...

    ONR as an wash alternative.

I just started using ONR and I love it. It will give me the ability to do 95% of my customers and I will never have to break out the pressure washer. Having said that I just returned my electric pressure washer today and got my money back. It was the third one in four months. I just bought a...

Need your opinion on the coupons on the back grocery store receipts.

I'd pass also. I've researched them before and found few if any people that look at or use the back of a receipt. Dedicated coupons work much better.

    Appropriate vehicle for Mobile Unit

Every crew cab type truck will cost much more than a regular cab. I've been working out of my 2001 Dodge Dakota w/4.7l V8 and I have plenty of room and power. I average 16 mpg around town and about 18.5 on the interstate. Loaded in the truck everyday is a 1850W generator, 55 gal. low...

    Is it lucrative?

I live just east of Birmingham in Alabama. Winters will cause some issues but I feel I can work thru them. ONR will be my new best friend. I have come to realize that you can accomplish most anything you want to as long as your reasonable and practical about what you want to accomplish...

    Is it lucrative?

I just started three months ago. I had to convince my wife also. It wasn't easy and I still have days that she questions what I'm doing. My setup is very basic for wash, vac and wax at any location. I bring my own water and power supply and when I approach a customer I'm professional...

Horrible way to wash a car but.......

How many people are working it to do a car in 3 minutes? I'm guessing with one helper I can rinse and he can dry(or look like he is drying) at about 7-8 minutes tops per car. I'm including dragging my hose behind me to the next car and having to move my truck every 3rd or 4th car we do.

Horrible way to wash a car but.......

Thanks for the info ShadeTree. The dealer mentioned $2.50 per car. I'm going for $3.00/car. Thats averaging $18/hour if I can do one every 10 minutes. My wife actually mentioned she would help me. Thats free labor. Well kinda free because being married isin't free(and certainly not easy) but she...

Horrible way to wash a car but.......

About 100 cars on lot. 70% new the rest are used. I can take a few days to do the whole lot. Will probably want them washed once a month. They have a lot boy that really doesn't do a good job on the trade ins. I'm thinking I might ask the manager if I can borrow the lot boy to help with...

Horrible way to wash a car but.......

I was out drumming up business for myself and I had a general manager from a local new/used car lot ask me about washing every car on his lot. Its about 100 cars and he doesn't expect any miracles. Basically I'll be knocking the dust off the vehicles and drying them a little bit. The price...
