Average depth of light swirl marks?

What's the approximate depth of light swirling? Just after a very approximate value. Reason for asking is that Apex have just released a video about machine polishing swirl marks out of a coating. (I'm sceptical)

Transferring ceramic coating to a syringe - any advice?

I'd like to transfer the contents of my 50mL bottle of CSL to a syringe, to maximise shelf life after opening. Has anyone tried this? Any tips? Any reason not to attempt it?

    Best spray wax for windshield?

I'm very impressed with how easy it is to buff Megs Synthetic Xpress Wax to a streak-free finish, and I've actually been using it regularly as an "LSP" on my windshield. It doesn't have great longevity, but that's fine. The *only* complaint is that it can cause a bit of wiper chatter, which...

Do stones "bounce off" PPF, and not leave a mark?

A PPF installer told me that in many cases, stones will simply bounce off PPF without leaving a mark, because it is soft. (they didn't say this will ALWAYS happen, but they said because of this behaviour, there will be less marks than there would be without any PPF) Opinions?

How to seal gaps to improve touchless car wash?

I have a spoiler on my trunk, and I'd like to try sealing the gaps, so that soapy/waxy water can't get in and then leak out. (there may be other locations on the vehicle too, but this is the main one at the moment) Any recommendations on how to do this? There are two long edges I'd like to...

Hydrophobicity of CSL vs Cquartz Lite?

I have been practising with Cquartz Lite, and would now like to move up to CSL, and need to decide whether I want to also apply EXO V4. Is CSL at least as hydrophobic as CQL? If so, I don't think I'll bother with EXO, because I'm happy with the level of hydrophobicity CQL has.

    "Light" vs "heavy" solvents

The product description for Cquartz Lite says that it is resistant to "light solvents". What are some examples? If a solvent qualifies as "heavy", can it be diluted down, rendering it "light"?

Coating levelling - possible to remove too much?

I'm new to coatings, and the first one I'm trying is Cquartz Lite. I've noticed that in order to effectively "level" it, leaving no high spots, quite firm buffing is required. Is it possible to over buff, removing too much coating?

New product idea? Thick, temporary paint protection that is very easy to apply and remove

I've been interrupted during detailing - I was prepping the paint for a coating. So I now have a section of my car that is clean, and I want to protect it. I have an idea - it would be great if there was some type of thick gel stuff I could easily apply, that looks "reasonable", and is also very...

How to remove tiny flecks of tinsel from carpet?

I have TINY little flecks of tinsel embedded in the floor of my trunk, and i just can't seem to remove them. So far I have tried a reasonably strong vacuum, and a domestic carpet cleaner/extractor, to no avail. If I use tweezers (!), yes, sometimes I will get lucky, but obviously this isn't...
