    Just Like To Say

In the past all the cleaning/detailing products have been off the shelf items with the best prices more than likely at Walmart. Then I started buying and trying different items from different manufactures for different needs specific to what it may be. Well the glass cleaner I buy is fantastic...

    Cleaning Dilema

I have a water resistant roll out awning that covers our back deck. It is under a large tree which has birds and what else in it. Right now it has a layer of dirt also. I've seen products for canvass sails and automotive convertable tops for sale to clean them. What should I get to try and bring...

    Motor City Motors

Did any one catch the first of this new series on The Discovery Channel? It features The Detroit Bros. from Biker Build Off. Their shop is down the road from me in Ferndale on Woodward Ave. The new show is based on Jesse James' Monster Garage. A crew of 5 additional local motor city maniacs have...

Menzerma which one to use next?

I just used some PO115C and was very impressed. I want to get some more for my factory paint job on my 2002 F-150. I'm a bit confused as to which would be the next choice to go a little more abrasive. I don't want to jump to the most aggressive one and have it be wrong for what I'm doing. I...

    Menzerma PO 115C

I bought a quart of this and decided to try it today before it got to cold. It being a finishing glaze I thought about giving it a try on a panel with swirls in it that Megs caused. I really liked the way it removed the swirls and I want to get some more of this brand. The white LC pad I used...

    Wet Sanding the hood

Truck is a 2002 F-150 and the paint is dark blue metallic. I will be doing custom paint next year and am wet sanding out the factory orange peel. Used 2000, 2500 and 3000 grit then used meg's heavy cut and medium cut compounds. Put a coat of meg's #26 wax to protect it thru thr winter.

    Another Temperature Question

It has been in the 50s here for the longest. Now if it gets into the low 40s we're lucky. My question is can glazes be used at these temps? I was using a machine glaze yesterday while it was in the low 50s with no problem and then put on a coat of wax as a protectorant. What if I ran the engine...

    Griot's polisher question

I got this a while ago and want to use a 3 inch backing pad on it to polish some well worn windows. Am I asking for trouble with the counterweight being for the 6 inch pad it came with. Is there a counter weight for use with a 3 inch pad? I don't want to hurt the polisher as it's the best one...

    Plex-All

It was a BOGO and I thought I would give it a try. I know it says plastic but I used it on the bathroom mirror. It cleaned it nicely and hasn't fogged up after a few showers. Sure is convenient. I might try it on the inside of my truck's windows next. I put out heat like a furnace and fog a...

    Poorboy's Trim Restorer

WOW where you been hiding this stuff? Got a BOGO and it blew away the NuVynil I tried. I put it on grainy and flat surfaces.Tan, grey and black surfaces. We'll see how long it stands up to the elements inside and out of the vehicles now.

    Wetsanding question

After reading different posts I'm wondering about removing the awful factory orange peel by wetsanding. Mainly the entire hood and upper part of the cab and the pickup bed. The hood has numerous chips on it in the front from the highway along with a few small dings and dents. There's a...

    Swirl Remover

I've been using Meguiars stuff locally available. I'm not exactly happy with it. I'm wanting to switch to a better swirl remover. I have all the pads and an orbital Griot's unit along with tape and MF cloths. It's a stock paint from Ford that is on a 2002 F-150 and is a dark metallic blue. If I...

    Griot's 6" random

I jumped on it since it was a deal. I don't see much said about them on the forum. I put some Megs scratch polish on followed by #26 yellow wax. It was a dream using it. Went on like wow. I was using a cheap rotary and this random blows it away. It's ez to control and lighter in weight than the...

    Wrong pad?

I ordered a pad kit that contained 2 white, 1 gray and 1 blue pad. I used a white pad to apply swirl remover to my factory paint with no problem. I then used a white pad and swirl remover on the wife's car. It was hit and repair required paint work. The shop left swirl marks that took me 2 tries...
