Did I use too much IRONX?

I am preparing to apply CQUK to my daughters 2014 VW Jetta tomorrow. Today I washed, IronX'd, and clayed. It was really interesting seeing what the IronX does on a white car. First time using IronX. I used about two thirds of the bottle. Did I use too much? .

    CQUK on Door Pillars???

I am going to be applying CQUK to my daughter's car tomorrow but was wondering what to do with the door pillars? They are a hard, glossy plastic. Is it safe to use CQUK on them or should I use something else?

Help! Horrendous scratches or clear coat failure?

Take a look at this paint on a 98 Buick Park Avenue... I tried hitting it with my Griot's 6" orbital, M105, and surbuff pad. No luck. I tried using my rotary with a wool pad and M105, again, no luck. I'm afraid to try wet sanding if this is clear coat failure and really don't think it's...

Polishing Modern Single Stage Paint vs Antique Single Stage Paint

A neighbor of mine has a car that he told me was repainted by Maaco a few years ago. The paint is a metallic light blue and is dull, oxidized and fish-eyed. I wasn't sure if his car was clear coated, so I tested a spot with a white microfiber and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. From my test spot...

    Poorboys Trim Restorer (PBTR) Help

First off, I apologize for the pictures, I only had a camera phone to use. I am having trouble with the application of Poorboys Trim Restorer (PBTR). I just received my purchase yesterday and was eager to try it out. So I washed the old 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager (nearing 200k miles on her)...

Engine cleaning with Hondabrite by S100

I had some leftover Hondabrite Total Cycle Cleaner/Degreaser (by S100), so I thought I would see how well it cleaned an engine bay. I bought it about a year ago at a local honda motorcycle shop for $9.99 a quart. If it is safe to use all over a motorcycle, then it should be safe to use in an...

My attempt at polishing a 97 VW Jetta

My first post after lurking for quite a while now. Actually my first post to any forum on the internet. I am just a weekend warrior that has caught the detailing bug. I've read a lot of posts and I have learned a lot from everyone's contributions to this forum. :thankyousign: I know that...
