    Skill vs tools

Just curious. In most professions a certain percentage of the work is due to the skill of the individual and another is due to the tool being used. i.e. A good race car drivers car may account for 35% while his ability to control it at high speeds may be the other 65% that wins him the race...

The problem area is my mattress. We recently purchased a king sized pillow top mattress for my back. It was a higher end mattress. (If you've been mattress shopping in the past 3 years you know how over priced these things are). The other day our daughter wasn't feeling well. Stomach problems...

    Falling asleep at the wheel.

A good friend of mine just totaled his car (he was not hurt). Fell asleep behind the wheel while driving home from work after 8:00PM. Guard rail saved him from going completely off the road but did an unbelievable amount of damage to his car. I know that feeling all too well. You pull a long...

When will you NEED a glaze?

I've read the write up under Auto Paint Glazes but still need a little clarification. I'm ordering a few products now that will make my shine pop and was interested in using/owning a glaze, I've never used one. But after reading on them it appears that a good sealant followed by a wax...

Headlight restoration- How do you guys make it look so easy?

Perhaps this detailing business isn't for me. It takes me days to get a finished paint correction that I'm proud of. I have tried corrections using the same stuff you guys use and following the videos to a "T". The car looks better but it never looks like I want it. Its never "video worthy"...

Power washers- How much power will I need?

Looking to buy a small electric power washer. I'll primarily use this for washing cars. But I‘d like to get more use out of it as well. Such as spraying the house siding and blasting the driveway clean from time to time. I was looking at one that had 1600 PSI. Would this do the trick?

My 1st rotary job w/ pics. It was easy.

I have read all the scare post about burning through paint and decided to head to the junk yard and grab a panel to practice on. To my surprise they had the same make and model porches as mine. I stripped off the sunroof for my practice panel. Once home I taped it off into sections and ran the...

Is there a "How to" on circular polishers?

I plan on using my CP for some stubborn water damage. Using compound with my GG and a orange pad on speed 6 just isn't getting them out. I would like to "see" a how to rather then read one as the movement and technique is easier understood.
