    Ibrid Nano

My new Rupes Ibrid Nano arrives Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to it. Been wanting one since they came out. My question, has anyone cut down an interface pad and sanding discs for for the 2" backing plate? I've been thinking about this and thought I'd see if anyone has already done...

    Rotary Extension

Mike, I thought I would have gotten your attention down in the Flex threads but I guess not. I recently purchased my first rotary, a Flex PE14-2, why are there no extensions that are at least 3"? For that matter, why are there no rotary extensions in different lengths? If I lived in the UK I...

    Rupes Bigfoot Nano iBird

That is some price tag. AG, you need to have a 25% off sale soon. My question is for the guys that already have one. Do these little machines have the "umph" to do headlight restoration. I think this would be the perfect mobile tool for just that purpose. From sanding to heavy buffing with...

    Flex PE14-2 Thread size

The PE-14 thread size for backing plates is 5/8". Is 5/8" the same size as M14. I found an 80mm (3 1/4") extension bar with M14 threads. It comes from the U.K. and I just want to make sure their threads are the same size threads we use in the U.S.

It's too hot to buff cars

Here in Dallas, TX, we had 85 degree weather in the middle of February. Un-heard of but at least we got to buff some cars. The last of May and all of June, every weekend has been around or over 100 degrees, today (Sunday) it's just 97 but the heat index is 102 and the 4th of July it'll be 102...

    Help! Holograms.

I'm working on a 2007 black metallic Dodge Magnum RX, Hemi. It has swirls and holograms. I used my Flex 3401 on speed 2 1/2, Meguiar's MF polishing pad & D300, still have holograms. Switched over to Griog's 6" on speed 4 with Meguiar's MF cutting pad & D300, still have holograms. Then tried...

    Paint Over Spray

A friend at work came to me about over spray on his Murano. It happened about a year ago on a windy day in Dallas, TX. It has what appears to be real fine brown over spray that happened when he went under an over pass. He's already had the car clayed and still has the over spray. Any idea...

    Flex 4 7/8" BP

With the new Flex 4 7/8" backing plate and Meguiar's new 5"MF pads, is this flirting with disaster or should you go with the 5.5" BP and 6" MF pads?

    DA and headlight correction

I have a G110v2 but have not bought the 3" discs yet. While the G110v2 does work on headlights, it's still just a little too bog on some headlights. What I'm wondering is how the Griots 3" DA would work doing headlight correction. Has anyone used Griots 3" DA with lights and what was your...

I love my new Flex 3401

I've used it twice now. First time just putting wax on my car, it's new so no big deal. Thursday, I did a car that looked good from a distance but on closer inspection I could tell it had been wrecked. After a little investigation, it had been wrecked several times and had a brother-in-law...

Used my Flex 3401 for the first time

Nice weather, still on vacation and I finally got to use the Flex for the first time today. I only waxed using NXT 2.0 and it could be my imagination, but because of the forced rotation, it seemed to do a better job applying wax. I do believe this is a toy, I mean tool that I'm really going to...

    Flex 3401 videos

Where can I find videos or even forums with tips and tricks on how to use the Flex 3401 properly. Some say it's just like the PC 7424, only forced rotation. I've plugged this thing in and pulled the trigger, I think it's a different beast. Anyone know where I can find this kind of...

    Optimum Hyper Compound & headlights

Has anyone tried a 4" pad, PC7424 or G110 V2 and Optimum Hyper Compound on headlights? You'd think if it was able to take scratches out of a car, it could clear up headlights.

Just received new Flex 3401 VRG

Awesome machine, can't wait for the weekend. 70 degree weather and a chalky white Camero. Let the fun begin. Also got 12 Lake Country Smart Pads, Wolf Gang pad conditioner and cleaner and of course, the Flex bag. This was my step up from a G110v2, cable shorted out and a new one will be here soon.

    Flex 3401 OPM

I'm coming from a G110v2 to a Flex 3401. I know what the OPM are for the G110 on each speed but what are they for the Flex? I have the range of their range of 3200 - 9600, but for each speed? Just trying to figure out what speed I need to be on with the products I use. Thanks in advance for...

    What's my problem?

I've been buffing cars every weekend for about 3 months. I started out with a G110v2 and 7" pads. The G110v2's cord shorted out and sent it in for a replacement. In the meantime, I still have cars to do and decided to get a PC 7424XP as a backup from AG. I went with the 5" backing plate and...
