    If You're like Me...

DISCLAIMER: I'm a little odd. I've been observing this site for years, posting for a short time, and have been developing my detailing skills S-L-OW-W-W-W-L-Y. The bombshell is that I still work by hand, but have told myself "This is the year I'm going to get a da". If you are like me (I...

Tricks to Keep Focus Sharp After the 5-6 Hour Mark

Hey, Personally I like to start early on day 1, and stick it out until most, or all, of the heavy lifting is done. I REALLY like having the car in the garage, a coffee in my hand, at 6am on day 2. We all have our preferences, and I don't want to entertain a new schedule, so my question is...

dg 105, 501; search not helpful

I have an order coming that includes 105, 501, and 601. I work by hand. Cars are 2010 pearl white Subaru Outback, and 2008 white Honda Civic. Question, that I can't seem to find an answer to, is; do any of the dg products listed above have mild scratch, or swirl reducing capabilities? thanks...

    Bicycle Protection?

Thinking of getting a new mountain bike. The bikes get ridden hard here in coastal BC. What options do I have to protect aluminum? Suppose by some miracle of miracles I was able to afford a carbon fiber bike, how would you folks protect composites?

    Is this even possible...

...or am I on crack? First hand wash after Pac NW winter. Used Dawn. Is it possible that Colli 845 did not get fully cleaned away? I know it lasted pretty well, applied Nov, but can it sustain a Dawn attack? Possible? Probable? Likely?

Well I've managed to @#*% up again!

Bought some used wheels with snow tires on them. Swapping out my stock civic wheels (pristine) I stupidly gave a couple kicks to each wheel to loosen them. I scratched my beautiful stock wheels with my dirty boots. Is there a product that will diminish scratches on alloys? thanks

    Asking before Doing

Planning this for a couple friends before winter. Wash, clay, Pinnacle Paint cleansing lotion, Collinite 476. All done by hand with mf and handjobber. Question 1: Would you use Mothers Gold sealer/glaze in there? " 2: Wash again before 476 application? " 3: More...

    Yup, another dumb question.

Can 2 people wash, and use a basic 3 step plan to wax (like Mothers paint clean, seal, wax) and have the job look consistent, as though one person did it? I have 2 friends with newer F150s and have offered to help them "double team" their rigs, but I am second guessing it now (too many...

A terrible thought just crossed my mind. Simple Yes or No will do Can I wash my body rags, interior rags and wheel rags in the same washer load?

    New Kid from British Columbia

Hey Gang, I've always liked washing cars. Then when I knew better, I liked washing cars properly. Now I kinda love it. My jobs are pretty basic, wash and wash and wax by hand. Mmmmm, carnuba. Looking forward to learning polishing, but for now it's all fun. Like many, I happily take care...
