I do a lot of highway commuting and am getting too much debris damage on the hood. Do hood deflectors really work? Or would I be better off getting a 3m film? Or is there a product strong enough to prevent paint chipping from road debris?

Anyone know where I can find (or maybe we can compile one) of makers paint info. Im looking to see if anyone has info on Lexus paints? Or the process that from a manuf. paint so different from others.

I am working on a BMW with decent paint, but my guess is that it sat on a dealers lot for quite a while because the chrome trim and glass are covered with water spots. For the glass, DP glass polisher has worked wonder, but the chrome trim is in bad shape. I've tried several test spots using...
