    tonneau cover question

Its a pretty decent tri-fold cover on my 2019 Honda Ridgeline. Lightweight, hard panels, 5 minutes off - 8 minutes back on. Curious about protecting it. The panels are a hard fiber something with a plastic-like textured surface. The support frames around each panel are painted aluminum. The end...

seal plastic trim after sealing paint?

Throwing an AIO on my 2019 Ridgeline soon. Paints in real good shape. Gonna put a treatment of some sort on the exterior plastic trim as well. Plastic trim after paint buff and AIO? Plastic trim and then paint buff with AIO. Probly get some WETS or something of that nature. Guessing we don't...

    bottle change for Optimum sprays

Just ordered new spray polishes from Optimum via AG recent sale. Worried about the spray bottles as that's what I've read here. Bought bulk sizes and want to get good bottles for the spray. Although the product (if mixed up in container properly) would probly be ok in a regular squeeze bottle, I...

    AIO w/sealant vs sealant alone

I do understand that AIO products with sealant normally have minimal cut, some polishing, and a sealant. I refer to XMT 360, PB polish/sealant, OP opti-seal, GG all in one sealant. But do the sealants in an AIO need time to cure? Wax topper right after? I have used WG 3.0 as a stand alone...

    polishes, sealants...shelf life?

With my current setup (part-timer) I am virtually shut down starting right about now. I may or may not re-start in spring. Only a (very) smaller vehicle will fit in garage and weather keeps me from working outside until Mar - Apr. I have just boxed up all my products, pads, etc and removed them...

    hard/soft paint..help how to tell

Just recently got involved in a great post about the Megs MF DA system. Good info but kept coming back to hard or soft paint. I've hit this wall a few times here (clearcoat or not paint too) and am curious.... Pretty sure that single-stage paints are indicated by vintage. In other words...

how about faded "GREY" trim, bumpers, etc.

Lots of products seem to 'bring back the black' to faded black trim parts. Many cars out there that started out with dark (or not) grey bumpers etc...BUT, My PERL, 303, and Megs HD are protecting them but not restoring in any way. How does a guy 'save the grey'? !ouy knaht

    application of BF crystal seal...thoughts

Just got some BFCS and am going to use it on very nice red Accura. They have water spots pretty bad and after polishiing the paint I thought I'd try the 4oz bottle of BFCS. I did get the hand-sized blue MF pads with it and am glad I washed them first. There was a tremendous amount of blue dye...

    curious about glazes...in general

I'm thinking that a glaze might be used when no paint correction is done. So the 'filler' in a glaze will.....uh....well, fill the bad spots? A glaze has or doesn't have any polishes in it? Maybe someone mite use it as a one-step than spray on a wax and call it good? That sure would be a 'hack'...

    GG paint prep...observation

A customer came by today with a water spot problem. Beautiful red '11 Honda Accord Coupe. She baby's it but gets sprinkler water and spots each day where she parks. Of course we spoke of another parking spot and such. He has been turtle waxing over the water spots for months and even though she...

    water based products shelf life

Was going to proportion out some Megs HD (1:1, 2:1, etc) in some spray bottles to have at the ready. Curious about a bottle of 4:1 for instance, will it be ok for a few months like that or maybe just ratio out as I need it. Basically a shelf-life question for water-based products. thanks

    anyone using CG V-32-34-36-38 ??

Curious about the V series polishes from CG. V32-V34-V36-V38 A couple of them are hybrids of some sort. Wondering about a stand-in for 105/205, maybe a little more 'user friendly'. Tried to match them up by video on CG site in reference to which pads they were using. Don't get me wrong, love...

    NuGlass DG 755 question...

Going to do some glass spot removal with DG755 and as I'm not concerned with the product removing the spots (probly use a red pad with GG3") I'm curious if the 755 leaves any protection behind. Can I or should I follow up with a glass sealant? thanks!

    products for wheel well detailing

I see GG has a wheel well or undercarriage spray that seems to be pretty nice after a wheel well and exposed area has been cleaned or is now cleaner. I've seen the video and I'm betting that a clean wheel well that's treated with that stuff looks great and is impressive to a customer. Any...
