Does anyone remember who polished the Honda sign?

Wondering if anyone remembers who it was who polished the Honda sign at the dealership? It’s been a few years, he also used to work on Airforce One

    I’m out

I would like that thank those of you who have taught me so much over the years. This was a great place with a great bunch of people. Always willing to help, no negativity. A couple years ago I started noticing more people who just seem to be here to start stuff with people or attempt to put...

    ‘16 Porche Macan

This one had seen way too many automatic car washes. I had always heard solid black Porche paint was super soft. Definitely not the case with this one! It scratches pretty easy, but the paint is hard. Used 3K and 4K paper Rupes Mille, G21, Flex 3”, Rupes Ibrid. Sonax Cutmax, EX04-06, CarPro...

    2019 Porche Cayman S

She came off the transport truck and brought straight to me with 53 miles on it. Sweet little car. It obviously sat on a dealers lot for a while needed a lot of work, compounded and polished. Coated the paint, windshield, wheels, and calipers. Sent from my iPad using AGOnline

Clear UV tint for the windshield

I know the plastics used in dash boards do a lot of out gassing when the car is new. Does anyone know if it’s best to wait 6 months or so before having the film put on the windshield? If for not other reason, it would end up with considerably less cleaning the film. I don’t know anything about...

    What are they thinking?

They opened a Chemical Guys store here in Arlington. They don't open until 10:00. Two younger guys working there. I didn't realize it was just a Chemical Guys store when I walked in. Asked if they had a 1" plate for my ibird. He didn't know what an ibird was. Who in this industry doesn't know...

    Rupes 21 Mark II

Got a new Rupes 21 Mark II. Worked great for about 30 minutes. Now when I pull the trigger I just get a humming sound. Power supply is good. Does anyone know of anything else I may be able to easily check that could be causing this problem??

303 Trim restorer and protectant, great stuff.

I really regret not getting any pictures. I used this product on my wife's 2015 F-150 back in mid 2016 because the Texas sun had already started to fade the trim. It still looks pretty good 2 years later. It's about time to reapply. That was fairly new trim though. This last weekend I used it...

    Applying gelcoat

I guess if anyone has done this it will be someone who works on boats. I've got a guy who scraped the bottom of his scar on fiber splitter. Just trying to get a smooth finish for PPF to hold onto. I know polishing is out because of oils and sanding this material can be hazardous. I would like...

    CQuartz Finest users

I've got a guy who had Finest put on his vehicle and he says it's not very hydrophobic. He says it does bead some, but doesn't sheet water. I haven't checked it out yet. I just want to verify that Finest is an extremely hydrophobic coating that beads and sheets water very effectively...

Does anyone here have a pace maker/defibrillator?

Title is pretty self explanatory. With the number of people in here I assume someone does. I just got one and they told me a couple tools I couldn't use because it makes the unit think you're in arythmia and shocks your heart. One of the tools is a chain saw, obviously from vibration. I'm trying...

It's not what it looks like...

Like the title states this isn't what it looks like. Obviously it looks like clear coat failure, I haven't ruled that out completely. I can tell you it's not base coat right underneath it. It looks more like someone painted something on top of the paint, is there a protective layer that you...

Hardest paint I have ever seen

I started a thread in another section on here titled "what is this". This paint is by far the hardest paint I've ever seen. It's a 2010 Lexus LS460, of course I was expecting soft or fairly soft paint. It turned out to be a respray. According to my PTG everything but the roof was resprayed. The...

    What is this??

I’m sorry I don’t have any pictures. I’m dealing with a respray...I believe. Whatever it is it’s Rick hard. I hit it with wool and my rotary and I end up with a glazed pad, hit the same spot with a foam cutting pad and I end up with a glazed pad, hit the same spot with a perfecting pad and...

    Range Rover paint

I've got a Range Rover coming in this week. It's a 2006 metallic gray. I'm assuming the paint is on the harder side, can anyone verify that?? Obviously I'll be doing test spots, but find it saves some time if you have some idea what you're dealing with...
