"I wonder if that guy is on the forum"

Any of you guys ever see a car go by that obviously belongs to someone into detailing and think "I wonder if that guy is an AGO forum member"? I guess it may be owned by someone who uses and AGO member as their detailer.

Which Wash Mitt or Wash Pad are you using?

Looking for suggestions on a wash mitt/pad. I typically like a double sided pad more than a mitt but if a particular mitt is better I'll use it. I have been using an Adam's pad but have concerns that it's rough on my paint. I couldn't use it at all on my Mini or it would leave marring. Any...

    The wife is happy

I just used the Flex and Wolfgang Uber Compound with a follow up with Wolfgang Finishing Glaze on the granite counter tops in our master bath to remove 15 years of hair spray build up. Came out great. "See honey, all this stuff is useful" lol

    Blackfire BlackICE: First Impression.

I just happened to get my BlackICE yesterday while I was in the middle of a polish job so decided to try it out as a lsp. Opening the box it was nicely packed and came in a nice wooden box similar to Fuzion. Opened it up and checked the smell, it has a more chemical smell than Fuzion or...

    Re-purpose PBMG Boxes

I sell a lot of stuff on eBay and all the boxes from the recent sales have come in handy. I also use two larger ones as laundry baskets for my dirty microfiber towels. Outgoing:

    Tinted clear makes me nervous

My current vehicle is the first car I have had with tinted clearcoat. In the past I have had both regular clearcoat and single stage paint. With regular clear you never see what you're taking off the car and you expect to see paint transfer on single stage. But for some reason seeing the tinted...

PBMA Sure makes it hard for its customers...

PBMA Sure makes it hard for it's customers to shop other places. I'm not usually one to be a "fanboy" or any one place but AGO and it's sister sites have the best customer service I have ever seen. I have been shopping here since 2006 and I can't say I have ever had any problems, but my...

Spotting cars that have had bodywork.

Any of you guys ever spot other cars that have obviously been in an accident and repaired? Mostly due to mismatched paint. I see it all the time, silver must be really hard to match. See it on some nice cars too. Is it even possible to perfectly match it up if only one panel is being sprayed?

Is there a place to sell partially used chemicals?

I have quite a few chemicals that I bought to try and would like to sell. Is there a place for this besides ebay? Years ago there was a forum for this but it seems to be gone. Russell

    Difference between Metro Vacs?

Is the only difference between the Metro Vac & Blow portable and full size the capacity of the container. I mean, do they have the same suction and blow? I'm thinking of getting the Master Blaster but want a vac too, and if the portable is just as strong then I can get it and save some $$$...

Fuzion over DGPS on white (Video)

Well, as we all know, white isn't the best for showing off what a wax or polish job can do. But I have had the best results to date with the Wolfgang line of products on my white car. We have 4 cars, they are all white. I love white cars. Every time I go to buy a new car I swear I'll not buy...

    Your favorite hand applicator?

Of course I have a box full of the yellow foam applicators. They are inexpensive and seem to do a good job but for some reason I become "butter fingers" and can't hold onto them and end up using a few after I drop a couple.. They also can feel "grabby" on the paint. I also have the red LC...

How many times can you polish a car?

One of my cars has soft clear and gets marred easily just from careful washing using quality products and applying LSP. So a couple of times a year it'll get Wolfgang Finishing Glaze and a gray pad. This is about as easy on the clear as you can get for polishing but seems to work fine for...

Wolfgang DGPS and Menzerna Power lock

Hello All and Merry Christmas. As I sitting here browsing through the AG store and reading reviews and waiting on the food gorge to begin. I'm looking at the Menzerna Power Lock sealant. How does this compare to Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant? Any reason to have both? Is one considered...

3" Polisher or 4" Pad Setup

I'm thinking of picking up the GG3" polisher but I have a GG6" and a PC 7336. I thought about getting a 4" pad setup for the PC and dedicating it for tight areas but it would be 1" bigger than the GG setup. Is the 1" wider pads really gonna make a big difference getting in to tighter areas...

Review: Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad Cleaner

A brief review of Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad Cleaner I normally don't bother cleaning foam app pads but I had such good luck cleaning my DA pads with the XMT cleaner that I thought I'd share my results. I used a app pad since I had already cleaned my larger pads. Product and the dirty app pad...

    Why is it?

Why is it you detailing guys who do this for a living like to hang out in detailing forums and talk about detailing? I'm in the plumbing business and the last thing I want to do in my off time is talk about plumbing. I'm glad your hear since we can needle you for info but you would think at...
