    tips / tricks for old lacquer paint?

    so i did up a friends '67 olds vert ... car was a $50 earl schieb paint job before.. paint is TOAST .. i mean HORRIBLE.. but atleast i got a little shine on it .. (ill include a pic or two) anyways... the lacquer was DRINKING the 105/205 up .. like soaking in.. worked smaller areas and still...

    6.5 orange pad workin like junk... but 5.5 works great?

    i cant get a 6.5 to work well on my griots.. just every issue i can think of .. one came with a kit i got, and the other couple pads are fine, but the orange with 105 just doesnt cut, chalks up super fast, just plain doesnt seem to do much of anything right 5.5 works great .. same pad., CCS...

    how'd i do? and questions advice please

    so ,,.,, first time in a LONG time .. used to use a dewalt and bs pads etc.. decided ive lurked long enough and bought some stuff. thanks to autogeek for the great prices! not shown is the nanoskin and pad cleaner brush (on backstock) so ... wifes car paint was tore up.. no clue why but hood...

    M105, M205 ... then what sealent?

    #21 seems an obvious choice .. but ive heard of streaking issues? im sure there may be a better combo out there.. and anything with a quick cure time for layering would be a GREAT bonus! :xyxthumbs:

    help a newbie spend $200-280 on a "kit"

    i used to detail out of a friends shop probably 10 years ago .. we were amatures but did decent work using a dewalt and pads/materials we bought from a friend at a local BMW dealership that showed us the ropes as a favor .. mostly did friends cars, and it was a TON of fun ... fast forward now...
