Did a favor for the g/f's mom...detailed a repainted Lexus....I planned this one out as well this month to submit for the show and shine...it seems only appropriate to detail a black car on Halloween... Process: Being repainted...the paint had the typical signs of a poor paint job...foggy...

Well..return business is the best business...before, this was a test vehicle for my PC some new compounds/polishes......it worked well.... but sure enough this Mustang was in bad shape again...it is regularly maintained by the owner...just improperly....lots of wash/wax induced swirls...the hood...

First up the harsh stuff.... Then onto attacking the hood....wetsanded with a couple different grits to get a feel for what the car would need...I settled on 2000 grit ... .....the right side has already been compounded with wool and 3M rubbing compound on the top half and Diamond Cut 1.0...

So my neighbor has watched me detail cars for months now...and asked me to polish up his 93' Vette....has a rebuilt motor...and the paint needed some TLC to match what was underneath the hood....total correction was not possible as some parts I could tell the clear was thinning and some panels...

Unfortunately had to leave the Z outside and parked in a lot that has sprinklers for the last two weeks...that coupled with the sunny weather meant waterspots galore....after rinsing it was nice to see my sealant held up perfectly and prevented the waterspots from etching...i knew a normal wash...

This was a used BMW 5 Series that was purchased by the uncle of one of my previous clients (a mustang i did a couple months ago)....this was in BAD shape....probably the worst job of dealer "prep" or lack there of I have EVER seen....can't believe there are dealerships out there that allow cars...

Finally got around to doing a co-workers Black Ford Escape...got egged and it etched into the paint pretty bad...now I have her mom, grandma, and boyfriend all lined up for details :awesome: Process: WASH Foam Cannon filled with MEGS NXT....needed to bring out the harsh stuff for this one...

Been eyeballing these lately at Big Lots...i guessed right that they would hold my pads perfectly...8.5 x 11 each drawer ( the face is curved so it gives that extra inch needed to clear the 12inches worth of pad), three drawers per unit.....perfect for keeping my pads organized...edge2k 6 inch...

So a co-worker of mine finally bit the bullet and bought a new car...of course it was black...and of course all signs pointed to poor dealer prep....more holograms than a pokemon card.....and swirl city on to the process: WASH Pressure rinsed then foamed down with Citrus Wash n Gloss...mirco...

did a quick night time polish of the Z....Menzerna SIP and PO106ff....topped with my usual stuff definitely a lot of "imfp" (insane metal flake pop) here is the teaser pic.....no swirls left in the halo of the light... Gotta love Menzerna....:righton:

My menzerna, sip and po106ff (nano polish), arrived safe and sound...gotta love AG for finally carrying it...now i dont have to pay the ridiculous prices i have been paying to get it shipped from overseas....those of you that wanted to trade...or want samples let me know...

This S2K has already been clayed and polished previously by me...just gave it a wash n wax...really just a chance to play with my new foam cannon and tire dressing "gun" :p really this was the dirtiest part of the car...recieved a spray down with PB Spray and Rinse...probably the best stuff on...

So I have been patiently waiting for my foam cannon/lance to arrive....hehe...it was worth the wait ....i like the all brass and metal design of it...this thing is going to be bullet proof (i hope :p) looks simialr to others i have seen...just instead of the quick disconnect fitting of gas...

reading justin's recommendations and write ups..i tried using a black shmitt as my wash mitt...i know justin has had much sucess using a black shmitt on paint...i was not so lucky...marred and swirled the crud out of the paint...i even used a higher percentage of soap just to increase...

since i am waiting on my next ag order to arrive (the free shipping is the best and i cant wait to try the red edge pad)...i couldnt resist and got some more stuff from cg as well....i used up my gallon of f-seal so they gave me a sample m-seal and their new jetseal109...they threw in a sample...
