    “Baked In” Bug Stains

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Unfortunately, my weekend warrior go-gettum wore off after a couple of years and I layed off a little from detailing our vehicles every weekend (kids and life in general). But, I think that the initial work I put into the vehicles has helped keep them in...

    Boars Hair Brush REEKS!

I just bought a Montana Boar’s Hair Car Wash Brush Plus and it came in today. I let it soak in a bucket of McKees 37 Power Wash for about 5 minutes while I cleaned my tires and wheels. After I used it while I was washing my truck, I kept thinking I was smelling something dead. I literally...

LC Flat Pads or CCS Smart Pads?

I'm getting a new set of pads. I currently use the CCS Smart Pads. I only use them a couple of time a year to apply either 845 or WG TSR\FG (if needed) to our 2 vehicles. I have read some really good things about the LC flat pads and I am wondering if it is worth the switch.

    An Alternative To Klasse SG?

I've been using KSG for a while now on my metallic silver 2011 Silverado (nothing too fancy, but I like to keep it shiny). I apply it after the first wash after I apply 845. If I'm lucky, I can get 2 waxes a year in, but it's usually only one. It's easy to apply and remove, but I'm always...

Do You Wash A 2nd Time After Waxing?

I saw a post recently that said he washed the car after waxing/polishing it. Although it sounds like a great idea to help get any bit of leftover polish off, it is time consuming. I've always wanted to do that, but that would take extra time that I usually don't have. I wanted to know if any...

2 Questions About the AGO Site

When I do a search in the forum, I can only open a few of the results. The rest of the result give me a "500 Internal Server Error" How do a search for an exact phrase, rather than searching for any word in the phrase? Ex; Detailer's Paint Coating will give be all results with any of those...

Mike, what do you use to bring equipment to offsite Details?

I'm looking at your threads on polishing classic cars and thinking at the same time of the other threads where you are going somewhere away from the warehouse. Then I'm picturing you pulling up in an 18 wheeler  with all of your gear. Seriously though, when you go offsite to a...

    Question About PBMG On Amazon

I placed an order for some things today from PBMG on Amazon. I guess I have two questions. About shipping, on Amazon shipping was $8.95 and on AG, shipping was $18.95. Also the same products were total $10 cheaper on Amazon. I'm trying to figure out why the price difference on Amazon. The...

What Is The Best Tip You Have Gotten Since Being On AGO?

I was curious to find out what tips from AGO you all have found most helpful since joining the site. I've always been into keeping my car clean. I also always thought I knew what I was doing. That is until I found AGO. I threw away most everything I had before and have spent a lot of money...

    Meg's M205 & 845

Will 845 look good after using M205? I'm going to be detailing a black 2005 Silverado and I have heard that 845 looks best on dark vehicles. I use the the Klasse Twins on my wife and I's silver vehicles and I'm happy with those. The black truck needs some minor correction, so that's why I'm...

    Megs APC+

Is Megs APC+ diluted to 10:1 and 4:1 clear coat safe? I'm more concerned about the stronger ratio and I'm sure it is, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks. Sent from my SCH-I535 using AG Online

    Props to Griots!

Yesterday, I finally got to use the GG 6" polisher I bought back in October for the first time. After polishing my wife's hood, I was cleaning the pad on the fly, like Mike demonstrated, but the wind blew the towel back into the buffer and it got wrapped around the shaft. Needless to say...

    Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

I'm looking at adding this to my detailing bag to replace the DP Trim Sealant. I'm not a fan of the aerosol - I feel like I have spray to much on my towel and it's more difficult to control the spray, especially in the wind. I have to say it's the only DP product that I've tried and didn't like...

    Klasse AIO SAved The Day

So, I'm installing a RollBak retractable bed cover for my 2011 Silverado that is in immaculate condition with no swirls. I installed the brackets on the side of my bed using the provided self tapping screws. As an extra layer of protection against rust, I removed the brackets and sprayed...

Touchfree Car Wash in New Orleans Area

I recently had back surgery and as a result, one of the things I won't be able to do is wash my truck for a month or two. I drove around Metairie and New Orleans this past weekend looking for a touch free car wash and I can't find one. I can't pressure wash right now either - too much...

    Flat Pads vs CCS Pads

What's the difference between the flat pads and the CCS pads (besides the obvious visual differences) with the grooves cut in them? Is there a time when you would use a flat pad in place of a CCS pad or vice versa?
