    2008 Infinity G37S Detail

2008 Infiniti G37S Detail This beautiful Infinity G37S suffered from dealer detail syndrome! The client brought this brand new G37S to the dealer on a couple occasions where the dealer offered the dreaded "free detail" (you're really paying for it by how bad the usually hack the car up!). As is...

    My 99 Cobra Detailing - NXT 2.0

I had a couple new things I wanted to try out... namely 106ff and NXT 2.0. I also used my grout sponge for the first time. I gotta say... best $2 I spent on detailing products. :up I probably don't need to say much more than "I concur" as regards to 106ff... that stuff is amazing! I was...

    2004 Lincoln Navigator

This truck has never been waxed since purchasing it new 3 years ago according to the owner. This was very evident the minute water hit the surface. Wheels were cleaned with a brightener (more on this to come... check back later on this blog for more details on this product) and a pressure...

DG 105 / DG AW Beading at 5 months

This stuff is indestructible! Full correction and application of 101/105 was done in the beginning of June. I've maintained it with AW probably once maybe twice a month.

    1995 BMW M3 - White "Lightweight"

This was a very unique car! Full roll cage, coil overs and plenty of rubber on the paint from the super soft tires and the commute up from Charlotte to Winston Salem, NC. The paint ended up being a lot harder than I thought it would be. I've done 2001 M3s and they didn't seem to have as hard...

Wet Sand test panel - 1983 Hurst 442

Friend of mine was going to have this car repainted because he thought the orange peel was too bad. I told him that I would take a crack at it (one small area) to see what can be done. Looks like this car had been sprayed several times with SS paint. Process Wet sand 1000 grit Wet sand 2000...

Sharing the knowledge as I learn it...

I'm fairly new to this level of detailing / paint correction so I figured I would share some of my lessons I learned along the way. So last night I was finally motivated to finally test out some of my new stuff. I wanted to try to rotary again. Last time I was all over the place with it! I...

    Anyone want to trade cyclos?

I recently bought an alomst brand new Cyclo 11A (pneumatic version) from a great deal. I wanted the pneumatic version because it supposed to be much quieter (definitely is) and has a much longer cuty cycle (i.e. lasts longer). So I used it for the first time last night. First impressions...

2001 Nissan Sentra 200k mile Makeover (56K No way!)

This is my wife's daily driver/used to be my dailer commuter for a 180 mile daily commute. I bought it new in November of 2000 and it has been a great car. Cheap payment, good on gas and reasonably comfortable. It has been good to us... on Friday to odometer flipped over to the whopping...

I know that some of you have been here... you're wet sanding and don't realize how thin the paint is and the unthinkable happens. You see primer! 1999 Black Cobra Paint Correction

To start we have a 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra with pretty neglected paint. (This owner must be too busy in life to keep this car nice - shame shame). Plenty of scratches, water etching, oxidation and swirlies. This is really my first time attempting something at this level so I have been trying...

    DA vs. Rotary

Can someone give me a breif synopsis on the pros and cons, advantages and disadvantages of a rotary (Makita 9227CY Polisher) vs. a dual action (i.e. PC 7424). As far as I can tell, everyone is saying that there is a danger in a orbital polisher in that it can heat up quicker and cause damage to...
