    Better than Rain-x?

I just bought Duragloss Rain Repel, and was very hopeful, as it had good reviews. Rain-x is a pain to apply, and just doesn't last that long. I tried the Duragloss Rain Repel, and its convenient, being a glass cleaner. It does bead the rain, but it doesn't allow you to drive with the wipers...

The B pillars on my 15 yr old Acura seem to have either a clearcoat failure or whatever glossy coating that covered them has peeled or fallen off. It is quite extensive and on both sides. No way I am getting this painted, so wondering about other options. I have considered vinyl trim tape...

great paint:how to keep it that way?

I recently bought a 2011 BMW from the dealer as a CPO. Amazingly, the paint on this thing (Space Gray) appears, to me, to be flawless. I can't find any scratches, no swirling...nothing. It looks fantastic. Given that it is 4 years old with 40k miles, I am assuming it was detailed prior to...

    Painted plastic bits

Should you treat painted plastic bumpers, mirrors etc any differently from painted metal? Is it ok to clay, machine compound/polish these plastic parts? Nervous that they are not as durable as metal and I could damage them somehow.
