    polyurethane enamel polishing

I've yet to polish a re painted vehicle, and it just makes me nervous when people start telling me the type of paint used. I've got a restored beetle to polish this weekend painted with polyurethane enamel. Seems to be a common finish, but I don't know if it is cleared or not, or if it...

    Souveran on CX-7

I'm starting to get better at this. Our CX-7 was starting to show some spider webbing from the winter. My wife told me not to go near her car with "that thing" (the Makita Rotary) after I burned a molding on my truck the first time using it - but she was at work... Used a combination of the...

    Bike Detail, literally

Well, it's snowing again, and I'm bored. But Spring is right around the corner and my baby needs a cleanin'. This is my pride and joy. A custom built, by me, Fetish Cycles "Seduction" no pivot, full suspension mountain bike. This machine cost nearly as much as it's combustion powered...

    NHL Ice Time

This past Thursday, some friends and I got to play hockey on NHL ice! First, we got to watch the Avalanche destroy Edmonton from club level seats, then we hit the ice ourselves! It was "Old Style" vs "Strohs". We were all very, very happy... I'm the Strohs goalie in white. They gave us refs...

    Best car chase scenes...

That "This Blow's" thread from earlier got me thinking. What, in your opinion, is the best car chase scene ever? - Don't ask me how a drunk driver hitting a parked car leads to this - There are so many from the 70's and 80's that I simply can't remember. Saw Vantage Point a couple weeks ago...

    Rookie w/ a rotary mistake

So the weather forecast didn't show any snow for at least five days... finally! I bought a Makita rotary this winter and decided to give it a shot on my '05 Ranger. I began with an Edge orange pad and Menz FP. The paint wasn't in bad shape to start with, just some minor spider webs. I...

    General pad question

I've been using a PC for about a year now and haven't really noticed much difference in pad selection. In fact, aside from incredible gloss, I haven't noticed much correction capability at all with a DA unless you have all day. Now that I've purchased a rotary, I'm wondering what, exactly, it...

    Christmas toys

So, what did everyone get for X-Mas? These are pretty much a gift for myself, but the camera I took the pic with is new! Opened up a new Canon EOS digital Rebel XTI (400D) yesterday morning. Can't wait for spring to get some car pics together. We're kinda knee deep in snow at the moment. I'm not...

    PT Cruiser

The follow up to the Z3. Same process, except I used Adam's fine machine polish to finish. Interior was a bear, pet hair and slobber everywhere. Lexol cleaner and conditioner on the leather. Pics are very partial, this thing was a mess inside.

First time... for $, BMW Z3, PT

A BMW Z3, hammered front end and interior and a PT Cruiser with pet hair all over... So, too many pics to put both up so I'll have to make another for the PT. Any way, don't have very much AG stuff in my arsenal yet other than the hardware. Bought all my brushes, applicators, towels, and such...

    decals on vehicle

I have a job coming up on a Dodge Magnum that has business signage decals on the doors and the hatch. Needs a light polishing. I'm guessing that taking a PC over the decals is not a good idea. Any thoughts on how to address this?

    Greetings
