Wheel Cleaner that won't strip wax?

I have the same issues with my work truck off-road. I find that regular use of tire dressing makes cleanup easier. Every couple weeks I use 2 applications of Poor Boys BnB. Obviously you have to live with the fact that most of the time your tires aren’t going to look as good as street-only...

    Sealer choices??

Wolfgang, if you have more time Z2 and/or Z5. There are plenty of good ones. What I don’t care for are Maguiars or Mothers.

Give it to me straight. How bad does this look?

:whs: Unfortunately you can’t fix what’s no longer there. The best you can hope for – besides a re-paint – is to slow further deterioration by keeping up on wax/sealant.

when do you use quick detailer?

Could you clarify this? You know sealant over wax generally removes the wax, right? ## makes some good stuff. Wow, I'm not allowed to type in the company's initials. Thumbs down to AG!

when do you use quick detailer?

For light dust I think it depends on how scratch resistant the paint is. I probably wouldn’t do it with a Japanese car. The dirt after rain I would absolutely not QD. Some of the particles are large and sharp. Another use is to clean inside the doorsills when you wash.

    FLEX XC3401 problem

Lumadar, from your post #114 one could get the impression that you are supposed to lean on the Flex. Given that Ger42 is “new to using electrical tools on cars”, it is important that he be given correct information. Zoran was trying to clarify your post by conveying that information which you...

Cobra's New MF Towels Side-by-Side Comparison

Why use the thin one for washing? Why not the yellow one?

    Help with removing moderate swirls

Meguiar’s website says Swirl Remover 2.0 is for fine scratches and swirls. Yours may lean toward medium scratches. I don’t use their polish so I don’t really know. Or you might be moving the PC too fast. The LC orange should be plenty aggressive.

    Meg's new teck...

I have Wolfgang Spritz right now. But I don’t think I’ve ever used it on anything but paint in good condition with a good coat of sealant already on it. Maybe there’s just not a noticeable difference if the paint is already pristine. Spritz and Meg’s QD both leave the surface slicker...

    Meg's new teck...

I’m wondering why you say it’s junk. To me a lot of QD’s are pretty much the same.

    Meg's new teck...

I find that their regular QD is pretty good comparable to Wolfgang and probably already has some sealant. I haven’t tried their Ultimate QD. It looks like a way to get a couple more $’s out of you. I guess it extends protection for people who use Meg’s wax once every 3 months or less. But...

    Which sealer to try??

It literally feels slick to the touch. I find that dust and pollen sort of blow off a slick sealant. I don’t think it necessarily repels the stuff. It will settle on a parked car but slides off a moving one. I like Zaino. It’s brighter and very long lasting compared to Wolfgang but not nearly...

    Foam Crucifiction...

If washing with cold separately there shouldn’t be a prob with melting glue. The only potential prob I see is unbalancing the washer if it’s a top loader. Just don’t stick it in the dryer. If you don’t use a pad cleaner on it first I don’t know if the wash machine will get all the crap out...

    How does weather affect detailing?

Cold temps will cause the chemicals in sealants to react and bond much more slowly. You should wait longer to remove and much longer to layer them. That does not answer the original question though.
