    Latex Paint Removal

Thanks Mike. Their website led me to Lowes where I found a bottle of the latex remover. I'm not sure how well it's going to work so I may also purchase OPC as well. The things I'm worried most about are the amount of paint on the truck ( It has splatters everywhere, literally ) and the fact that...

    Latex Paint Removal

Wow that looks like it works amazing. Unfortunately I don't have any of that product but would definately like to add it to my arsenal. I'll just have to hope the customer doesn't mind waiting while I place the order.

    Latex Paint Removal

A search of the forums turned up a link with some advice. However Mike I wasn't sure if you could lend any extra advice as the post was almost three years old. I've just had one of my regular customers call and say that had latex paint splattered onto their truck. The latex color is beige and...

Mike, What's the story with WD-40?

I was just about to leave the bank, at which I detail three cars, when the bank owner stops me. He's a nice guy who always gives me feedback on my work. He asked if I had ever heard of using WD-40 to whipe away the bugs on the front of the car at the start of a wash. He further blew my mind by...

    Our Next Giveaway.... Polisher!

    1. My first car was a 1996 Sebring Convertible. The car that got me into detailing. It had 150k on it and still looked better than 75% of the rest of the cars in the school parking lot. :xyxthumbs: 2. My favorite product line to work with is definately Meguiars. I prefer the detailers line...

Having a big problem with my wax / sealent removal

Thanks for your input Sully. This is a problem in the sun as well as the shade . I've even had it show up on a fire engine red car. I'm beggining to think it's not only the heat, but the storage of my gallon containers in my trailer. It's much hotter in their when it sits in the sun. The thing...

Sorry Mike, I was actually talking about streaks. It had been a long day by the time I replied back.

Having a big problem with my wax / sealent removal

Mike, Thanks for your response. No worries on how long it took to get back lol I've often tried the quick detailer and it only works on occasions. The swirls seem to be extremely deep sometimes and thus very difficult to rub out. Its just difficult, if a customer does notice the swirls, to...

Having a big problem with my wax / sealent removal

Mike, My name is Chris. I'm an express detailer on the west coast of Florida. I've been detailing for two years now as a business. About six months ago or so I looked into changing my waxes and adding sealents. I wanted to purchase my products by the gallon to get a little bit more profit...

Gary, Hey man, long time no talk. I was just going through my old voice mails and realized I never returned your call from months ago about helping you out one day. I was in Vegas at the time and a few days after I got back my best friend passed away. So it's been a few rough weeks. That...

I've found that keeping a small wet towel on my neck actually helps a whole lot.

Question about Craftsman Pressure Washer Tool.......

So I was walking through Sears earlier today and began browsing their pressure washers. I came across a tool that is put on in the place of the wand. The tool is a bristle brush ( that it says will not scratch paint ), that I believe spun. I was curious as to if anyone knows about this? I'm...

    Mobile detailing business

I wouldn't give up on the idea. Certain storage units have decent pricing for storing smaller trailers. It's a pain to have to go there to pick it up in the morning but isn't that what owning a business is all about, hard work?

    My new trailer

That's funny. My brother in law is a carpenter and he's building me a custom shelving system for my trailer in exchange for me detailing his rv. Oh bartering lol

    My new trailer

Yeah that's exactly what I was talking about lol While it seems simple enough it's just not something I've thought of before.

    Mobile detailing business

I would also suggest purchasing a trailer. For the past two years I've been working from the bed, and back seat, of my Crew Cab Frontier. Everytime I needed to use the bed or back seat I would have to remove all of my gear and supplies. This past month I purchased an 5x7 Haulmark. While it is...
